Halloween Festivities

The week before Halloween we had a party with our friends. It was a blast.

Two trees with their cute little monkey.
Danny, Megan, and Alena

Mummy and Deady with their monster and dinosaur (after a brief discussion with Jason, after weeks of thinking Cooper's costume was an alligator, we concluded that it was in fact, a dinosaur.)
 Bennett, Katie, Cooper, and Jason

Caution: Wide Load  [get it? clever.]
Brooklyn, Curtis, and Bump.

 Tada!

Of course we had to get a picture with all the adorable babies! Confining them to the top step was the only way we could get all three to sit still long enough for a picture. And as you can see from Bennett's escape attempt, even that was difficult.

We played a lot of minute to win it games.

While the babies played with anything they could find. They were very good to just let us play.

The winners!! (Ok... to be honest, Jason and I won, but we thought since we came up with the games and purchased the prizes, it would be pretty lame if kept them. So the prizes went to the second place winners... the Greenwoods!)

On Halloween itself, Jason's work threw a Halloween party/trick-or-treat thing. We did not collect candy since the boys obviously won't eat it and neither Jason or I are too into it. But it was really fun to go and see all the different rooms decorated.

The Duck Dynasty room was giving out rubber duckies instead of candy. So the boys did get a toy out the deal.

Cooper loved sitting in the yellow stool. It was cute.

Jason eating the nachos they provided.

Two days after Halloween we had a party up in Brigham. I didn't take a ton of pictures, but it sure was fun! We did a Road Rally for the first part of it, then came back to tons of goodies and other games.

Pumpkins Take 2

So... we had the Parkers and Greenwoods over for the BYU vs. Houston game yesterday, and it turned into a Halloween pre-party. We carved pumpkins, roasted the seeds, ate pizza, and just had a grand old time. Alena, Cooper, and Bennett had a blast cruising around together.

Pumpkins

We went to our tiny local pumpkin patch on Saturday. We were hoping to get some fun pictures of the boys, but... the lighting was terrible and the patch wasn't so picturesque. So we just grabbed some pumpkins, snapped a few pictures and left.

Cooper is on the left, Bennett right. During this photo shoot was when I noticed Cooper stand up for about 5 seconds by himself. It may have been during the above picture. I couldn't tell if I caught it on camera or not because it was so bright. But.. Go Cooper!

I love it when they squish their noses up. They do it when it's too sunny, sometimes when they are happy or when they are upset. Cooper mainly does it when he's upset. I love it because it shows off their cute little top teeth. In this picture it's Bennett and he's doing it because the sun was too bright.

Cooper, my cute boy. :)

We decided to take some more pictures when we got home since our green grass was prettier than the tarp-covered pumpkin patch.

Cooper. He was much more cooperative for this shoot than Bennett was.

I love Bennett's face in this pic.

Jason finally got Bennett to smile.

By this point Bennett had crawled up our porch steps and was pulling down a ghost we had hung on our door. Cooper and I were watching him.

Cooper being adorable

Because our local pumpkin patch only had small pumpkins, we decided to get big pumpkins from Wal-mart so we could carve them with our friends.

Our *almost* finished pumpkins!

Tada!

Jason wanted us to make scary faces. I look more creepy than scary.

September/October Photo Dump

It's been a while since I updated, so I thought I'd just dump a bunch of pictures together, rather than making separate posts.

The boys love the bathtub and water. So one morning Jason thought it'd be fun for them play in ours. He stuck them in the tub and just barely turned on the water to a trickle. It drained faster than the water came out so was completely safe... with supervision. They had a blast just playing. He didn't think to take off their onesies first, so needless to say, they got soaked.

Bennett trying to stand while Cooper is playing with the drain.

I thought the boys should enjoy the nice weather in our backyard before it got too cold. They weren't a huge fan of the grass though because it was starting to dry out already so it wasn't exactly soft.

Bennett

Cooper has been obsessed with sticking his tongue out.

The boys rushing back to the blanket.

Nothing like a good ol' dogpile in the morning. They were sitting on either side on me while we were watching a show.  But then I got up to get something, and I found them like this. I guess the chair is slippery or something because they just toppled over. Bennett is the one in the back with his leg over Cooper's face.

My cute little hoodlum. Cooper was cold so I stuck a hoodie on him. He was just too cute. Also, the boys LOVE looking out the windows. It's nice that they are low enough for them to look out. If the blinds are in the way, they will pull them back and lift them up to look out. So I usually just have all the blinds partly up during the day now.

Cooper and Bennett are tall enough to reach the piano now. I often will hear duets and solos through out the day. I love it!

Our friend, Alena, just turned one! We went over for her birthday party. The boys played with her really well. I also think they liked all the new toys. It was really cute seeing the three of them play.

Cooper just casually sitting in his chair. They think they are pretty cool now that they can climb up and turn around themselves.

I pulled out my winter jackets and in so doing, I apparently opened up a new toy for the boys.

Cooper carefully climbing out without tipping it over.

Cooper liked playing with it the most.

Bennett doing one of his many solos.

My boys, just hanging out. Cooper is watching Daddy play on the Xbox. It amazed me how long he was completely happy just sitting on the love sac.

This magnet is one of the favorite toys around these parts. Bennett was cracking me up because he was carrying it around like a binky.

Bath time! These boys sure love their baths!

Practicing with their sippy cups! Bennett is a pro now. Cooper is still working on it.

Bennett and Cooper with their new toy. We found it on KSL, of course. They LOVE it. It is their birthday present, but we didn't wait til Nov. 5th to give it to them. Oops... I figure we can always put a bow on it and give it to them then and they won't even notice. ;)

Cooper playing with the dresser handles. They both LOVE doing this. It doesn't matter which dresser it is, they will cycle through all of them. I'm not sure what the fascination is.

Look how stable he is! They are both getting really stable on their feet. They will be walking in no time! ok... to be fair, I bet it will still be a couple months before they walk.

And we'll end on this picture. Isn't Bennett ADORABLE?! He was supposed to be sleeping...
