Silly group of boys. The only name my boys can remember from preschool is Calvin because we have a Calvin that lives down the street as well. The Calvin from preschool they call "little Calvin". He is the boy second from the left.

For their preschool halloween party, the boys chose to wear their costumes from last year.
After dropping the boys off at preschool one day I decided to take Tessa to the pumpkin patch since it is right next to their school.
She picked her favorite pumpkin
And carried it all the way back to the car by herself.
Two days after I had gotten back from Texas I still hadn't finished unpacking yet, so Tessa decided to help by unloading all my clothes onto the floor. She then informed me it was her boat.
We inherited a play house from the neighbors.

Bennett and Tessa have always seemed to have a special bond. He was just working on preschool and she came up to him and gave him a big hug so he returned the hug and kept working on preschool with their arms around each other.
I am so grateful to have the Klippels living nearby. It is so great to get a family fix. And I am so glad that my kids adore them as well!

The kids must be going through a growth spurt. I ate two chicken rolls and was full. Each of the boys wolfed down four and Tessa ate three!
While in Brigham for our Halloween party, it was really cute watching these two interact.
Tessa loves her cousins! She was snuggled up with me then saw Ayla on the floor so she decided to crawl into her lap instead. Luckily Ayla seems to love her just as much so she snuggled her right back.

This little girl does NOT like going to nursery. When I can, I give her the option of either playing in nursery or reverently sitting in my class. She usually chooses the latter option and she honestly does a great job sitting quietly for the whole two hours.
I feel bad that she still has nursery for another whole year, but at least I know she will make an excellent sunbeam.
G&G Halladay came by to say hello during their morning walk and the boys immediately asked her to read them a book.
I came into the bathroom to scrub up the kids and Cooper showed me what he wrote. I was super impressed that he came up with that all by himself! ("Cooper is 4")
We had a lot of Halloween activities this year. The first one was the ward carnival. There were some carnival games and cookie decorating and candy. It had a really good turn out!
I let my kids choose which costumes they wanted to wear. Tessa chose her dog costume, Bennett was Sully from Monsters Inc, and Cooper was a monkey.
The next day was Jason's work party. They had plenty of candy.

We headed straight up to Brigham after the work party. Unfortunately we had a late start and then got caught in traffic so we arrived to Brigham an hour later than we anticipated.

After dinner there were games for the kids, like feeling brains, eyeballs, etc in bags.

After kid games and pictures we put a show on for the kids and played some minute-to-win-it games.
The next day we headed downtown Brigham for a trick or treat village type thing where different companies in the area had booths for the kids to play games and get candy. It was crowded and confusing so we only went to a few booths and then called it good.

On actual Halloween the kids and I went trick or treating around the neighborhood while Jason passed out candy.

The kids made me laugh because they sorted their candy by what they wanted to keep and what they dumped back in the trick or treat bowl to be handed out to other kids. Most of their candy ended up back in the bowl. I was not complaining. :)
Cooper chose to keep four pieces of candy and put the rest back in the bowl. But then later he decided to grab a few more pieces out of the bowl.

We didn't buy candy this year, just used all the candy the kids collected over the weekend before Halloween to give back out to the trick or treaters knowing the kid would just collect more candy trick or treating themselves. Apparently the kids had no problem with this since they willingly contributed to the candy bowl when they were done trick or treating. At the end of the night we ended up with more than half a bowl left over anyway. I have decided this is the way to go so we don't have to spend money on candy that we don't eat and the kids aren't huge candy eaters either. Yay!
