June 2015

Here are the June happenings from around the house:

The boys have been ending up in our bed most nights lately. I am not sure how to break them of this habit, so perhaps we need to look into a king size bed...

Happy Tessa in the morning

Bennett relaxing on a hot summer day

I found Tessa sleeping like this one day. It doesn't look comfortable to me, but she was quite content.

Cooper insisted that this was how he was going to sleep that night.

Every time I take out the bag of trash from the can, it goes on their head. Pretty stinky considering this is the trash that I throw their diapers in. (Bennett is pictured)

Bennett got REALLY into his cereal.... normally they are not this messy.

On June 6th, Tessa rolled from her back to her stomach for the first time.

Bennett fell asleep on his glider for his nap.

Check out Cooper's sweet outfit. The glasses and "necklaces" came off before church.

Tessa is a finger sucker. I try to offer her binkie any chance I get so it will be easier for her to break the habit later on. But she is just so cute sucking on her fingers!

I planted some Marigolds in my planter box this year. They were so beautiful and cheerful... until the heatwave came. When the weather got to the high 90s and low 100s for more than a week, they died off. It was really sad.

Our fridge died suddenly one day. We had to throw out all of our food and Jason had to frantically find a new fridge while he was at work. We now finally have a decent fridge that hopefully will last for a while.

The boys were playing peek-a-boo with the canopy of Tessa's swing. Tessa wasn't so sure what to think about it. haha.

Glow sticks in the closet provide very cheap entertainment. (Cooper with green glow stick, Bennett in the blue shirt)

Again, cute Tessa sucking on her fingers because her mom failed to find her binkie in time.

When I first started producing milk, my body thought I was providing for twins again. Because of this, I ended up with twice as much milk as I needed. Hence the freezer full of milk. I have been able to find someone to sell the milk to so I am able to make a little money and help feed another baby too. It's pretty cool.

These animals are pins for a stuffed bowling set. Apparently if you bend their necks in half, it means they are sleeping.

Cooper, my pirate boy

While Tessa was doing tummy time, I laid three toys in front of her to play with. Cooper tried to take one of her toys so I told him no. I explained that those were Tessa's toys. He said "Ok!" and then dumped the whole bucket of toys in front of her. He tried to hand every toy to her to play with. Such a sweet older brother. :)

The boys are still attached to their monkeys they got for Christmas. Here is Cooper blowing out his cheeks being silly.

The boys playing with their Skipbo deck in the morning. (Bennett in stripes, Cooper on the stairs.)

One day while I was making myself a taco, Cooper (green) asked for a tortilla. I gave it to him and he decided it was delicious. So he shared some with Bennett (blue) and they both loved it. It reminded me of Crystal who also loves to eat plain tortillas.

Life is hard with three kids under the age of three. But I have to remind myself that these days are fleeting and I am going to look back and miss them once they are gone. Well, maybe not days like these:
But I love all three of my kids with my whole heart and cannot imagine life without them.

Tessa's Blessing Day 6/7/15

Tessa got blessed on June 7th, 2015. It was a beautiful blessing given by her father. Heather was kind enough to take and edit some pictures of Tessa on her special day.

Tessa at 3 Months

Tessa has developed so much this past month. It has been so fun to watch her grow and learn. She doesn't have a doctor's appointment until 4 months, so I can't give you exact stats but she is weighing in at around 12 lbs right now.

Her legs are non-stop motion when she is awake. She has discovered her feet recently and will randomly stop kicking to grab them. And then she continues on kicking away.

Just love this cute little face. :)

She is excellent at tummy time and has been able to hold her head up for a quite a while.

Check out that profile!

When she is really hungry, she grabs the bottle with both her hands and pulls it too her mouth. She often get distracted though and lets the bottle fall midway thru a feeding. But she is getting the concept down.

On June 3rd she got her toenails painted for the first time. It is definitely hard to paint such tiny little nails. But aren't they so cute?

Tessa is a HUGE blanket baby. She loves to have it right on her face every time she sleeps.

Her favorite place to take naps is on my bed. She only likes to be swaddled at night.

She's a snuggler!

She can also sit in the Bumbo like a champ! At least for a little while. Then she tends to tip over. She needs to work on her core muscles. But she loves to sit in the Bumbo because she can be a part of the action.

Because Tessa is such a strong, nonstop kicker, we often find her in a different position from where we left her. I don't think she realizes her ability yet, but she can rotate with ease on both her stomach and back. She can also kick off with her feet and scoot herself backward while on her back and forwards while on her stomach. Once she realizes her potential and gets her strength up I have a feeling she is going to take off crawling in no time. She already tries to crawl with her legs, but her darn head and upper body haven't caught on yet so her legs tend to push them along the floor.

Tessa can roll from her stomach to her back, as of May 12. This video is from May 13th when I was actually able to catch a roll on camera. She doesn't always remember that she can roll.

Tessa laughed for the first time on May 24. This video is from June 3rd when Jason got her really laughing hard. She sure loves her daddy!

Tessa also loves to talk and squeal, which delights Cooper every time he hears her. He will come right up to her and listen with a huge grin on his face.
