Crazy September

September was a crazy month. Here is a short recap:

We enjoyed our garden. We grew corn successfully!! It was so delicious.

The boys loved playing with their water table. Cooper really enjoyed dumping water on Bennett's head.

Bennett wasn't too excited about the idea...

But he did really enjoy running through the sprinklers!

Dad and Imy came to visit for a few days. It was so fun having them here! We went to the Living Planet Aquarium in Draper while they were here. The boys loved it.

Texas Part 3: Corpus Christi

After a week in Texas, Jason left us to go to Nashville for work. While he was enjoying a Rascal Flatts concert at the Grand Ole Opry...

We decided to head down to Corpus Christi and visit the Brunsons!

We went to the Aquarium. The boys loved it. It went much smoother than the Zoo did.

Sarah and I were talking and I turn around and Bennett has a diaper on his head. Why? No one knows. He thought he was pretty funny. And then of course, all the kids had to put diapers on their heads too. (disclaimer: I am not certain if this is Bennett in this picture or not...)

Texas Part 2: The Sealing

Well, onto the main event: Mom and Gerry's sealing. It started to downpour shortly after they got out of the temple, so we weren't able to snap too many pictures before rushing the kids to the car. I should also note that poor Cooper wasn't feeling the best because he was accidentally fed peanut butter crackers while we were in the sealing. I forgot to warn the baby-sitters that the twins were allergic to peanuts. Luckily their reaction to peanuts isn't severe. They just projectile vomit up their whole stomachs and break out in a rash and are done. It's not life-threatening. Unfortunately, Cooper threw up right before pictures onto Jason's arm. So Jason has a soaking wet sleave in the pictures. But it's not noticeable. Miraculously, Cooper mostly missed himself so he didn't require too much clean up. I am sure you all wanted to know that lovely story. But I thought I should write it down for memories sake.

My mom REALLY wanted a grandkid picture. Because my boys weren't feeling well, this was the best picture she got. Sorry, Mom! (Cooper is in pink, Bennett in blue).

Texas Part 1: San Antonio

Remember when I was so good at keeping my blog updated? Yeah... those were the good old days. Haha. Clear back in September we took a trip to Texas for my mom's sealing to Gerry. 

We had won free airfare for two to anywhere in the continental U.S. from Jason Work Christmas Party last year. Since the boys were under two years old at the time, we were able to fly our whole family to Texas for free! Pretty sweet. What was even more awesome was that we managed to have extra seats for the boys on each flight so they didn't have to stay in our laps. Such a blessing.

Cooper was really content sitting in his seat watching shows for the first little while.

We were greeted by a poor squished lizard when we arrived at Crystal's house. She has a family of lizards living on her front porch. Unfortunately this little guy didn't escape the door once and has served as a reminder for the rest of the family ever since. (Not sure how long he has been chilling there. But I think it is hilarious that Crystal has never cleaned him up. He was pretty dried out by the time we saw him.)

Adorable Penny

Bennett thought this statue was pretty cool, even if he couldn't take his hat off.

The only thing Jason wanted to be sure to do while we were in San Antonio was go to the Riverwalk. It was beautiful! And since we went on a weekday morning, it wasn't too crowded.

We made it to the Alamo as well.

 We took the kids to the zoo with Sarah's family one day. It was kind of a disaster so we failed to take any pictures except this one. 

We had a picnic at my mom's old apartment complex. We got to feed the ducks at the pond in the complex and the kids loved it.

This dog was ditched by her owner while we were eating lunch. It is sad because she was a really good dog, from what we could tell. She tried to jump into the cars to come home with us. We later found her on the pound website, so someone must have called her in or something.

This was where all the kids ate. They loved each others' company. It was so fun watching them all.
