Trophy Worthy Hairs

So... when the babies were born, they had a lot of long, brown hair. 

In the past month, most of that hair has fallen out and blond hair is growing in it's place. However, there are a few stubborn hairs that refuse to go the way of their friends. They are hanging on and just keep getting longer and longer. Naturally, I think this is hilarious, so I just watch them grow. My sister, Crystal, [who is a hairdresser] would have trimmed these hairs long ago. So Crystal, just to drive you crazy, I thought I would post these pics on the blog so they can torment your dreams. You're welcome. :)

side note - Cooper's strand of hair is longer than it appears in the picture. If you look carefully you can see that it is bent to the left.

Their hairs are almost as impressive as the hair Jason is growing on his arm:

The Littlest Muslim

I have been watching a show on Hulu called "Little Mosque". It's about a Muslim community in a small town. Perhaps I've been watching too much of it....

Yes, he did this himself. My poor, confused little boy....

Life Lately

I have a bunch of random pictures. So I thought I would give you all a general update on our lives. First off, we got a new camera. And it auto focuses very well. So I thought I would have fun with it. 

See? I knew you all wanted close up shots of the boys' binkies!

The boys are always the happiest first thing in the morning. Maybe they feel victorious that they have accomplished their goal of keeping their dad up all night. It's a good thing they are so darn cute!

 The boys have learned how to rotate. I'm not sure if they do it on purpose yet, but they sure do it a lot. The first step is swinging their heads clear back as far as they can, like this:

Then they bend their legs at a 90 degree angle at the hips. Then straighten out. All of a sudden, they are perpendicular to each other instead of parallel. I'm not sure if that made sense, maybe I'll try to catch it on video sometime.

I love snuggling my little ones. Cooper was exhausted after eating and burping.

Cooper may be our daredevil, but Bennett is our little rock star.

And he was very happy that Mommy was sitting in the back seat with him.

My dad and his wife, Imy, came to visit for two days. It was so much fun to have them here. And they spoiled the twins rotten, both with love and with toys. I think we've got them convinced to move to Heber City after my dad retires. I'm crossing my fingers...

I would like to draw everyone's attention to Jason's face. He can't make up his mind between pasty white or bright red. He decided to go for half and half.* Opinions?

 The last night they were here, we had BBQ'ed steak. It was DELICIOUS!

It's okay to be jealous...

So... Remember how I told you about the boys rotating? I heard Cooper crying yesterday, and walked into the room to see this:

When I left them, they were laying side by side. I guess Bennett thought it was fun to use his brother as a foot rest.

Obviously he doesn't see anything wrong with this...

*Jason went snowboarding the day prior to the picture being taken, and forgot to wear sunscreen.

4 Months

Cooper's Stats:

weight- 10 lbs. 11 oz

height - 23.25 in.

Bennett's Stats:

weight - 11 lbs. 1 oz

height - 23 in.

The percentiles are not mentioned because they are still not on the charts. Their height is almost there, but the doctor wants us to keep adding formula to their breast milk so their weight starts catching up. Silly boys, don't you know that you're supposed to grow twice as fast because you started out so small? :) In fairness to them, their parents probably aren't on the charts either. Maybe putting on weight should be a family goal...

Budding Daredevil

I'm a little worried about my sweet Cooper. I'm afraid that he is going to be a daredevil when he's older. Jason was watching youtube videos the other day and ran across this one:

While Bennett couldn't have cared less about it, Cooper's eyes were glued to them the whole time. After the video, Cooper chose the next video for us to watch with his toe:

Again, watching the whole thing mesmerized.

Then just yesterday, he was sitting on my lap. We heard a loud rumbling noise and Cooper started looking all over trying to figure out where it was coming from. I told him that it was a motorcycle outside. He then looked at me and just smiled. 

I have a feeling this kid is going to give me a few gray hairs....

Brotherly Love

The boys are definitely noticing each other a lot more lately. It is really fun to see them starting to interact. I was downstairs doing something earlier, and came upstairs to this:

Bennett "lending a hand" to Cooper. It appears Cooper was getting bored of sucking on his own fists and wanted to branch out.

Caught!

I walked away for a minute, and Cooper was back at it. He must be comparing the flavors of his hand vs. his brother's.

Aunt Sarah sent the twins a care package. Included in this were some sweet sunglasses. Obviously the twins love them! Bennett is pulling a look for the ladies, while Cooper is too cool for school. (The last part of that sentence had a LOT of double "o"s. Random.)

 Sometimes drinking a bottle can be a bit dramatic. Just ask Cooper.
