Jan. - Feb. Catch-Up

I haven't posted on the blog for a whole month! We haven't taken very many pictures, so I'll just make one post about the first two months of 2014.

The boys have discovered the joy of toilet paper...
(Cooper is standing, Bennett is sitting)

The boys love each other, so it's really cute to watch them together. Cooper has been the master and tantrums  from unknown causes lately. In this instance he's at the top of the stairs (because he refused to turn around and climb down himself, he always waits for me to turn him around) while Bennett and I are downstairs. Bennett stops what he is doing and climbs up the stairs to try to console his brother. It melted my heart.
It reminds me of another instance when the boys were wrapped up in their towels waiting to get dressed after a bath. They were having the cutest conversation ever! They were looking at each other and taking turns babbling. I'm sure it was a legitimate conversation for them. I just wish I knew their language! I really wanted to record it but I was afraid they would stop talking if I brought out the camera.

For a little while, Bennett LOVED to do headstands off the chair. He knows how to turn around and get down, but this was much more fun to him. He would just stay there, upside-down, as long as he could before I would tip him over.

They can reach door handles now... Luckily they haven't figured out how to open them yet. :)
(Bennett is in blue stripes)

I was on the floor with Cooper and I turn around to find Bennett lounging on my recliner with the iPad in his lap and my phone in his hands. Perhaps I'm in this position too much....

Cooper and his love of headbands...

I found Cooper in the hall playing with my phone with his feet propped up on the wall, as casual as can be. I promise I'm not on my phone that often. In fact, I usually don't know where it is during the day... (The boys like to take off with it. I forget to look for it until the next day sometimes).

We went to Five Guys last month and the twins got to try their first french fries. Cooper wasn't a fan, but Bennett loved them. He was so fun to watch eat them because he would take a bite and then set the french fry down so gently onto the napkin. Then pick it up again to take another bite. Sometimes he would try to take out the middle man (his hands) and grab the fry directly from the table with his mouth. He also insisted that each fry got its own napkin. When he was done eating a fry, he would drop the napkin on the floor and expect a fresh one for his next fry. Don't worry, we picked the napkins up after he was done eating. :)

Cooper playing with the shredded paper as I was sorting through our file box.

Bennett checking out the shredder.

We went to a hockey game with Marie and Hunter. It was fun, but most of the points were scored after we left. Figures.

My mom came to visit. It was so much fun having her here! I was really sad when she left. And the boys were looking for her the next day. We need grandma living closer.
This is the only picture I got of my mom with the boys. They had a blast with her phone.

Jason started eating a plain baked potato. (I'm not sure why...) Bennett wanted to try it out. Neither of them lasted too long. :)

This video was taken while we were trying to get Bennett to walk on camera. He refused (see later video) but I was still able to capture the boys playing with each other.

They LOVE their Legos.

Cooper and Bennett are the best of friends and I just LOVE to watch them playing with each other.

Cooper got to try his first ice cream cone after the hockey game. (Clearly none of these pictures are in order) He LOVED it. Bennett wasn't a fan of the cold factor.

We also went bowling with Grandma Webre and Hunter another time that they came down. Bennett loved all the colorful bowling balls.

Bennett has been walking like a champ lately and we were trying to catch it on camera. Unfortunately every time we brought it out, he refused to walk. (Please excuse my frustration at the end of the video. It was pretty cute how he would tease Jason).

We finally caught Bennett walking! They both have been little walkers lately. (Thank goodness. They are so heavy to haul around. Crawling is still faster though. They do like to walk as long as they are holding my finger. They can walk much faster this way.) This is Bennett walking. We still need to capture Cooper on video.

Well, that post was scattered and random, but hopefully you still enjoyed the pictures and videos. :)

Videos from the Past Several Months

So... I've been slacking on posting videos lately. So here is my catch up post. Sorry to bombard you with so many. But they are ones that I would like to watch at a later date. If you make it through all of them, I'll be impressed. ;)
