December 2014

A lot of December has already been documented in previous posts. But here is the rest of the pictures from December.

The boys love sandwiches. Since they are allergic to peanut butter, they eat butter and jam sandwiches.
Bennett after a nap. He always gets epic bed head.

Cooper striking a pose with a very messy sandwich face. They love to take their sandwiches apart and lick the jam out of the middle... I do not approve of this activity.

Cooper (left) and Bennett (right) playing with their animals they got from Grandparents Webre for Christmas/Birthday.

We love going to the Festival of Trees every year. This year a friend from Oklahoma had a tree in honor of her grand daughter that died very soon after she was born. It was Dr. Seuss themed and very cute.

Here is the whole family (including little Tessa in my tummy.)

Jason's sister Jill has a bow shop online. She makes super adorable bows so naturally I ordered a few. She threw in a few extras for Tessa's baby gift. Aren't they beautiful?!

Jason had a work Christmas party. This is us all dressed up and goofing off before the party.

And last but not least... Bennett. The boys went through a phase where they would smear their poop everywhere when they were supposed to be napping. It was lovely.

2014 White Elephant Party

Apparently our White Elephant Party is becoming an annual thing. I love it! Both the Greenwoods and the Porters came to Utah for Christmas. It was so much fun being all together again! I love that we always pick up where we left off, no matter how long we've been apart.

Brooklyn, Ellidie, and Curtis with their prizes: A movie buff statue and goldfish crackers in blue jello!

Big foot slippers and Pinewood Derby car

Blake and Nicole with English pudding and Bacon calendar.

Danny and Megan with Jason's old boxers and a drink-holding cactus.

All the girls with our babies.
Brooklyn and Ellidie, Nicole and Marshall, Me with Cooper and Bennett, Megan and Alena

The boys: Danny, Blake, Curtis, and Jason (with cute little Marshall in the front).

The group: The Greenwoods, Parkers, Webres, and Porters

2014 Family Pictures

We are really missing Jill's photography skills. We realized that we haven't taken 2 year pictures of the twins yet or any decent family pictures. We decided to have a very quick photo shoot while in Texas. Camera courtesy of Imy, Photography skills courtesy of Sarah. Twin smiles courtesy of my dad's behind-the-scene goofy-ness. Thank you all!

South Padre Island: The Outings

Here is the sweet beach house we stayed in:

There were sandcastles like this all over the island. This particular one was at the end of our road. It made a nice landmark.

Naturally we had to get a picture with the welcome sign.

Yes, we are cool.

Cooper making friends with a pirate.

Cooper and Imy on the pier.

Walking to the end of the pier. It was beautiful! (Cooper green shoes, Bennett blue)

Bennett riding a dolphin!

Our new pirate friend. I am holding Cooper, Jason is holding Bennett.

A cool little lighthouse. We were all going to climb to the top, but then found out only 6 people could go at a time and it cost money. So Imy and Crystal took Kaylee and Jaxon up while the rest of us waited for them at the bottom.

Checking out this cool tortoise that was roaming free at the aquarium.

Kaylee checking out a sea turtle at the Sea Turtle Rescue Center.

Cooper left, Bennett right.

Cooper (held by Jason) and Bennett (held by me) thought the turtles were really cool. The kept pointing at them excitedly and tried to touch them. But no touching was allowed. The turtles at this facility are all injured and recovering. It's like a hospital for them. Most are released back into the wild once they recover. For some of them this is their permanent home because with their injuries they would not survive otherwise.

Bennett was having fun trying to feed this turtle through the glass. The turtle kept trying to take the lettuce but obviously couldn't. He got frustrated and ended up splashing/soaking both boys and myself with water. It was pretty funny. Poor Bennett got really embarrassed after that though and buried himself into my shoulder for a little while.

We, naturally, had to have a girls shopping trip. This is a tradition that we love!

I was trying on clothes at Motherhood Maternity. I found way too many things that I loved. It is so nice to get three extra opinions. It makes shopping so much easier. Thank you sisters and Imy!

Sarah looking for jeans in American Eagle. (I am sitting on a display since they had no benches for pregnant women)

Just chilling with all the bags while my sisters shop for some adorable clothes for their little girls.

Crystal and Sarah patiently waiting for me in the dressing room. Fun fact: Imy ended up buying the scarf in this picture for herself. Because she found it at a maternity store, she now calls it "Baby Girl's Scarf." haha. I love it.

My sisters helping me try on shoes since lacing them up is a little difficult with my big belly. They are the best!

Crystal with all of our spoils. When she was a teenager and we went to the mall, she insisted on carrying all of our shopping bags that had name brands plastered on them so people would see and think she was cool. We have never let her live it down and so obviously we had to get a picture with her carrying all of our bags. :)

While condensing our purchases to make it easier to carry, Sarah realized we had lost a bag along the way. Luckily there was only about $15 worth of merchandise in it, but it was still a very sad day.

On Saturday, we had to be out of the beach house by 11 am but our flight didn't leave until 7 that night. Since everyone else drove they had left us behind. Jason found a park for the boys to play at for a little while to kill time while I took a nap in the car.

Bennett going down a slide.

Cooper

South Padre Island: Family Time

Cooper on the flight to Texas.  He had a blast with these puppets. I was really surprised how well the boys did on the plane rides. Way better than our last trip just a couple months ago.

Grandpa reading to his grandchildren. (Bennett in grey, Cooper in green).

Making gingerbread houses/trains. Cooper kept eating marshmallows instead of decorating. Maybe next year... (Bennett was napping).

The boys sharing a drink. (I think it was water?)

Sarah and Scott are heavy soda drinkers so naturally their daughter Penny loves soda too. She looked so cute with this huge cup. Just so you know, she is mostly just drinking very watered down soda and ice. They didn't actually let her drink this whole thing. :)

This was pretty typical of them for the week. I think they got overwhelmed with how many people were around, so they often escaped the madness by watching Daniel Tiger.

Grandpa playing with his grandkids. He was in heaven. (L to R: Jaxon, Cooper, Jane, Penny)

Grandpa tickling Bennett's foot.

Cousin yogurt break!

The ladies. We were all unintentionally matching.

Eating Christmas dinner. It was SO YUMMY!

There were also a lot of games played, of course.
