March 2017

When the kids want to exercise with me I turn on Just Dance on the Wii and let the boys pick the songs we dance to. My rule is if they don't dance with me, then I stop and go downstairs on my treadmill instead. So this is them dancing their hearts out. :)

I bought myself a tent! Our little four person tent does not fit our family anymore. We tried using it with all five of us last year and it was a little miserable. This new tent is a nine person tent that is super easy to set up with even just one person and is tall enough to walk around in. I LOVE it and can't wait to take it camping this summer!

Tessa is still an excellent little mommy to all of her dolls. She feeds them (and herself) imaginary food, "washes" the doll dishes before putting them away, and will put her babies down for naps. It's so fun watching her in her own little world.

We were eating dinner one night playing a game where they list three different types on things in the group Jason tells them. They started getting pretty silly, so I had to record their cuteness.

We still love the Curiosity Museum and go there quite often when we get stir crazy.

Bennett insisted that the doctor had to wear glasses during the whole examination.

Whenever I am sitting, I get dog-piled on with kids. I am glad they like to be near me, but it sure makes it hard to get back up again. (Cooper pictured)

Another time at the Curiosity Museum. Tessa played with this sand table nearly the whole time we were there.

I rearranged the car seats so I could reach all the kids a little easier to buckle and hand out food/water. The first time they all sat down Cooper exclaimed "Look! We can all hold hands now!" I am so glad that my kids love each other. :)  (Cooper in middle, Bennett on left)

Walking home after church. This dress and jacket are some of the adorable clothes Grandma Sharp bought for Tessa's birthday so I had to document.

We have one o'clock church, which makes it really hard for Tessa since that is exactly during her nap time. She started falling asleep at the table waiting for her food and Jason laid her down on the couch to sleep.

Yet another time at the Curiosity Museum. Are you noticing a trend? :) It was a GORGEOUS St. Patricks Day and we only had a little time before heading home for me to baby sit my neighbor's baby so we went directly outside.

Bennett climbing the spider web.

All three checking out the fish.

The boys discovered that the big rocks we have in our backyard break apart when dropped on the cement. Unfortunately, Tessa's toe got crushed by one of the rocks. The rock shards are sharp and it sliced her toenail in half. Luckily it was a pretty shallow cut and stopped bleeding quickly.

Bennett: I am a princess. Do you want to touch my really long hair?

On March 19th, Bennett gave his first talk in Primary

And Cooper shared the 4th Article of Faith. They definitely are not scared of the microphone. The were basically yelling into it. But they both did really well.

Tessa picked out her dress up clothes by herself for the Curiosity Museum stage.

Cooper giving me a pedicure...

...while Tessa styles my hair. It was like a mom spa! And yes, Tessa crawled up on my shoulders all by herself so she could get up close and personal with my hair.

One night the boys decided they wanted to sleep downstairs. We figured they could give it a shot. Both of them actually slept the whole night in their chosen spots!

Bennett slept on the floor in the front room.

And Cooper picked the living room couch.

The Gardens with Jenny and Clara

Jenny and Clara came to visit so we took them to Ashton Gardens since it was such a beautiful day.

The kids love playing in the fountain.

Sweet Clara and her smiles

She says "Hi!" so clearly and frequently. I LOVE it.

Cooper was the only one who would stand still for a picture.

(Jenny took most of these pictures, which is why she isn't in any of them. Sorry, Jenny!)

Sunday Pictures

My kids wore coordinating outfits today (Crystal would be proud!) so I just HAD to take pictures of my cute kids. Plus it was a big day for the boys: the first talk in Primary for Bennett and Cooper was asked to share the 4th Article of Faith. :)

I tried to snap a few pictures of the kids by myself before church while Jason was at a meeting, but it didn't go so well... It was too sunny for the kids and they are horrible at looking at the camera anyway without Jason's help.

It started out alright with the boys being their usual cute selves with their classic hugging picture.

But once Tessa was thrown into the mix things got a little crazy...

Bennett is wearing the suspenders in all of these pictures, while Cooper is not.

I took about a million pictures in hopes that maybe one or two of them would turn out. NONE of them did. (Although I do love all the fun facial expressions. Haha.) So we headed to church and tried again afterward with Jason's assistance. Things went MUCH better.

We started out with individual pictures.

Tessa

Bennett

Bennett was pretty proud of his "horns"

Jason is so good at distracting the kids with something right by the camera so they are at least looking in that general direction. For these pictures he was pretending to pour water over my phone. The boys thought it was funny, Tessa was more confused. But we still got a few decent shots.

Since I was coordinated with the kids, I wanted to snap a few with me in them as well. The kids were so distracted playing with other things at this point, I could only get them to come to me one by one. But I am glad they at least semi-cooperated for a few more minutes.

Cooper

Tessa was done smiling at this point so this was the best I could get.

I love this picture with Bennett. He was being the most cooperative with these last pictures so we actually got a genuine smile from him.

I love my adorable kids and how fun they are at this age. Thanks for humoring me, guys! You will thank me later when you look back at these pictures. ;)

First Official Family Bike Ride of the Year

It has been SO WARM this past week and we are LOVING IT!!! On Saturday we took advantage of the 74* weather and went on our first official family bike ride of the year. It made me so happy. I LOVE going on bike rides!

Tessa's hair got a little static while riding in the bike trailer. Haha

I had brought a picnic for once we got to the park. The boys went immediately to the play set while Tessa sat down to eat. She was in a very sharing mood and made sure to share everything she had with others.

Bennett taking a quick minute to wolf down a sandwich before running off to play some more.

Cooper saw me coming with the camera and started dodging me thinking he was so hilarious. He was pretty funny. :)

Cooper grabbing a quick bite too.

Tessa was sharing her fruit snacks with her daddy. It was so sweet. Normally those fruit snacks are very well protected and NOT shared.

I am looking forward to many more bike rides to come!
