Halloween Festivities 2016

We had a lot of Halloween fun this year.  

It started out at our city Trick-or-Treat Village just down the street from our house.

It was a little crazy because people were not following any flow of traffic or anything. But we survived and the kids got some candy. So they were happy.

I made their costumes this year, so I wanted them well documented. ;) 

The theme was Monster's Inc. Cooper was Mike Wazowski, Bennett was Sully, and Tessa was Boo.

We had Workfront's party the next weekend.

It was fun and well decorated. But the lighting was dim so made it hard to get any pictures.

They had a few pumpkins people decorated. One of the pumpkins was Cookie Monster with cookies coming out of his mouth. Every time we passed it the boys tried to take the cookies. They succeeded a couple of times... oops.

They had some photo booths set up.

And the next day was our ward Trunk or Treat.

On actual Halloween we headed up to Brigham City for a family party and trick-or-treating with cousins.

Trying to get five toddlers to smile at the same time is no small feat.

The Webres' adorable neighbor. The kids were already so loaded with candy by the time Halloween rolled around, we only went to about five houses in the cul-de-sac.

Clara was napping while we went trick-or-treating but when we got back 

Clara had transformed into the cutest little old lady ever.

We had the traditional dinner in a pumpkin.

And witches brew

and the cutest monsters for dessert. We also had the tradition ghost cake. But my picture of that is not downloading for some reason.

There were many more games played that I did not document.And then it was time for our trip home since Jason had to work the next morning.

Scarecrow Festival 2016

There was a Scarecrow Festival at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens. Since it was free for us with our Passes, I thought it would be fun to go. Jason met us there during his lunch break. There were a lot of fun scarecrows.

They had a hay pit for the kids. It was a mess. But they did enjoy themselves.

This one was fatman? Random and doesn't explain why it was in a stroller. But since it had a bottle attached, Cooper needed to feed it.

Minions! The boys get excited every time they see some and they are EVERYWHERE these days. We only watch Despicable Me rarely so I am not sure why they love them so much.

At the end of the Scarecrow walk they had inflatables. The boys LOVE inflatables. So Jason, Tessa, and I had lunch while the boys played. Then we packed up and fed the boys at home. Win, win.

G&G Damstra Visit: Day 4 Willard Peak

On day four the boys were given their Nerf guns.

And we loaded up for Brigham City. The boys insisted they bring their guns with them to show Uncle Hunter. He is the Nerf gun king.

Getting ready for a ATV ride up to Willard Peak. It's the boys' first legit ride. (They have ridden around the campsite or cul-de-sac before, but not on an actual trail.)

They were beside themselves with excitement. Almost the whole way up the mountain Cooper would check to make sure G&G were following us. They also liked to bonk their helmets together like battering rams. It was pretty funny.

The detour also allowed us to put more layers on before we hit the snow line.

There was about five ATVs blocking the road and we were confused until someone pointed down the mountain a little ways. There was a moose!

Continuing on.

I love love love this trail and all the gorgeous leaves.

At the top of Willard Peak we stopped to stretch our legs. Of course the boys found the rocks and started throwing them down the mountain.

Cooper loved his helmet so much he didn't want to take it off when we got out at the top.

Cooper was pretty proud of this rock. He even tried to climb down the edge a little bit to get it. But Jason stopped him and grabbed it for him. It was a little too steep to be safe for Cooper.

Our original plan was to eat lunch at the top, but it was much too cold. So we just took in the view and then headed back down a little ways until it got warmer.

Back at G&G Webre's house we played some croquet and ate a BBQ dinner.

Tessa had hit her breaking point since she didn't want to nap that day. When I told her to stop picking her nose, she broke into tears while still stubbornly keeping her finger in her nose. It was hilarious. Especially when Jason started bouncing his leg and her finger bobbed up and down in her nose. I was cracking up.

Sunday was a low-key morning of getting our last minute playing in before I had to take Dad and Imy to the airport. And then they were off. It was a very fun-filled and exhausting four days. But we loved their visit!
