11 Months

My babies do not sit still for pictures any more. So you get a series of pictures instead of just one.

Cooper LOVES to be chased around the house. If you get on your hands and knees and tell him: "Cooper, I'm gonna get you!" he will squeal with delight and hurriedly crawl the opposite direction. If you take too long catching him though, he will stop and wait for you to just pick him up.
Cooper tried corn for the first time yesterday and was a huge fan. He also thought that cubes of cheese were alright. He likes to try new foods and textures. He isn't a fan of mashed up veggies anymore though. With both pureed beans and squash he will take several bites like a trooper but will dry heave every single time. Bless his heart. He does love baby cereal either plain or with apple sauce or bananas mixed in though. He also LOVES animal crackers.
He is getting pretty good using is new teeth to chomp down on things. He currently has five teeth. Two on top and three on the bottom.
He loves his tongue. Always sticking it out or clicking it.
Cooper is a Momma's boy. He loves snuggling with me and his favorite thing to say is: "mamamama".

Bennett isn't as adventurous with foods. He does, however eat the pureed veggies still. Which is a blessing.
He is getting pretty good with a sippy cup, although he's only used it twice.
He too loves animal crackers and can chomp down on them  now instead of shoving the whole thing in his mouth and letting it just dissolve. (They both did this for the first little while. It was quite comical. I could always tell if Daddy had given them a cracker because they would be really quiet and keep their mouths closed until the cracker was completely gone. They would also often have crumb filled drool sneaking out of their lips.)
When Bennett is told that someone is going to chase him, he will also squeal with delight, but then start crawling towards the person, straight into your arms.
He was the first to stand independently for about 5 seconds. I was very impressed.
He has four teeth currently, two on top and two on bottom.
Bennett also has good hand-eye coordination. He has a couple toys where you put a ball into holes or down a ramp and he can do it all by himself, no problem.
He is also very much a daddy's boy right now. He loves me just fine while Dad is at work, but as soon as Jason comes home, he almost always chooses him over me. His favorite thing to say is: "dadada". Jason doesn't think he knows what this means yet, but I don't think it's a coincidence that Cooper says "mama" all the time and Bennett says "dada".

I sure love my boys! They are such good babies! I also love that they tend to sleep for about 12 hours each night. Occasionally they will wake up in the middle of the night, but usually they just want their binky back in or to snuggle with me briefly before falling back asleep.
Both are also very proficient at getting through the baby gate, either direction... unless I make sure it's latched. It's actually handy because they can climb up the stairs and through the gate to their room and toys without me. I can then lock the gate behind them and know they are safe. It's not so handy when they open the gate and get on the side with the stairs. Luckily they don't usually try to go down the stairs by themselves. They have fallen down the stairs enough times to have a healthy fear of falling. (note: they never have fallen down the whole flight of stairs, just 2 or 3 stairs at a time, thank goodness)
The boys really are the best of friends. They love playing together and don't even care if I'm in the same room or not. I often hear them "talking" to each other, laughing when they are chasing each other, or just being happy to be together. They are great at sharing toys, but sometimes if it's something he really wants, Bennett will start fussing when Cooper takes it away.
They usually follow each other around. If one of them goes up stairs, or in the kitchen, or wherever the other is usually close behind. It's nice that they don't go in opposite directions. Easier for me to keep track of them.

Ball Games

Jason's work, AtTask, periodically hands out tickets to various ball games. Just this last month we were able to go to a Bees' game. It was so fun! They had a bbq dinner before the game and we had great seats!

Then this past weekend we got tickets to the BYU vs. TEXAS game. When we got to the tailgate party it was sunny and HOT. Right before we were going to leave the party and head to the game, a huge storm rolled in and it started DUMPING rain.

The game was delayed two hours and it seemed like it was going to be raining the whole game, so we decided to just go home since we had the boys. I felt bad because it would have been a GREAT game to see live. BYU kicked Texas' trash. Jason was able to watch it online though.

Tony Grove 2013

Labor Day weekend we went up to Brigham to spend time with the family. On Saturday we went up to Tony Grove for the day. It was perfect and beautiful. I loved it. Last year when we went I was very pregnant. So I was able to enjoy it a little more this year. :)

The beautiful lake

The perfect spot. It was shaded and the picture you see above is the view from the picnic table.

Jason, of course, went fishing.

Scott and Marie brought their inflatable kayak.

He had much better luck this year than he did last year.

Kaden was able to reel one in...

...and Jenny...

...and me.

Bennett (left) and Cooper (right) did great in their pack and play most of the day. They didn't want to nap though. There was too much going on. Bennett eventually fell asleep while I was carrying him in the Baby Bjorn on a hike around the lake with Marie. Cooper crashed as soon as we headed to the car in the stroller. He didn't even stir when I transferred him to his carseat.

On our way back to Brigham City we stopped in Logan for Zeppe's. Delicious.

Monday we played Pickle Ball at the new courts in Brigham.

Garden Harvest

We are having a really hard time keeping up with our garden. It has gone crazy.

This is just one day worth of green beans.

All the carrots we've grown.

My personal favorite. Aren't they cute?

We have turned most of our garden into baby food. I love it because we are able to feed our babies fresh, organic baby food for free!

10 Months

My babies are 10 months old! And boy are they wiggly now. They would not leave the iPad alone or sit still. Here are the outtakes of Bennett to show you what I mean:

And the one picture I took of Cooper on the chair before I finally just gave up the idea.

If you want babies to sit still long enough for a picture, the Bumbo is the answer. (And a little phone bribe...)
