June 2018

The boys each got a yoyo from the Pony Express Days parade so Jason taught them how they work.

I just can't get enough of this boy. He is getting better and using his hands to hang onto his binky, eat his fists, etc.

Oh yeah, he can also hold his bottle for a little while by himself.

My silly kids love to pile onto this chair and read books or just talk.

Silly face selfies also happen. :)

The kids really wanted to go to the splash pad one day. Since it was breezy and a little overcast, we were one of the few families that were there. (Normally it is jammed packed with kids.) It was still plenty warm and the kids had fun. At least for a little while.

Cooper and Tessa had fun chasing each other around

Bennett got a little wet then decided he was done. (He did eventually go back out for a little while.)

Tessa drying off only to go back out and get soaked again and again.

Wrapped up and walking home.

I cut open a tomato and discovered it was growing a bunch of baby tomatoes inside. We opted not to eat our pregnant tomato...

Tessa: "Mom! Take a picture of us!"

Tessa is still the sweetest sister. She was reading Milo a library book.

When he got fussy she held his binky in and snuggled him.

Creamies season!

Milo is a lover of blankets.

Since Tessa still refuses to nap, if she is in the car in the afternoon/evening she will almost always fall asleep. (This was a very quick trip to the gas station two blocks away to drop off the Redbox. Yes, she is normally in a carseat.)

The boys and I had a date to the theater to watch the Incredibles 2.
Jason's work rented out a theater and sold cheap tickets. Jason wasn't sure if Milo would do well during a movie so he only bought three tickets instead of five.

It was a cute movie.

The boys really liked it.

Selfie with my happy baby.

This is the song the Primary sang for Father's Day

The kids love to pick all the Morning Glories they can find in our yard.

Cutie boy

Snuggling his blanket

Milo is getting good at tummy time now! But only for a few minutes.

Tessa put a headband on Milo and renamed him "Rapunzel" because of, you know, his long flowing hair...

Milo is really into happy yelling lately.

Cooper's best grumpy face.

Sometimes we like to have silly face photo shoots

Bennett Rides a Bike!

This is the summer for learning to ride a bike on our cul-de-sac. There has been three other kids that learned this summer so we have been trying to convince the boys to give it a shot as well. They were super reluctant at first (Cooper: "Maybe when we are six...") but then Jason decided to bribe them with their very own half gallon of ice cream if they could master it. Then they were both on board with the idea. Haha. Cooper showed the most promise at first but then Bennett took the lead and was the first successful bike rider.

June 20, 2018

Milo LOVES being outside so he was very please to sit on my lap and drink his bottle while we watched Bennett practice.

After the second or third day of practice he was able to start and ride the whole length of the street by himself.

So proud of my boy! Jason took him to the store and he picked out cookies and cream ice cream. He was kind enough to allow both Tessa and Cooper one scoop of ice cream. Then he pulled out a spoon and was ready to finish off the rest of the carton then and there. I had to explain to him that he would have to pace himself. He didn't understand that even if I allowed him eat the rest in one sitting, it would be physically impossible. Silly boy...

A week later Bennett was doing tricks on his bike.

Garden 2018

My mom planted my garden this year along with my kids so it's been fun taking pictures of it to update her.

Sunflowers about to bloom

Our pea pods

Carrots, beans, and peas

Baby pumpkin beginning to grow.

Our Cantaloupe plant has blooms all over but no signs of baby cantaloupes yet.

Our apples are very plentiful this year. Hopefully the birds don't eat them all! We still need to put reflective strips in the branches.

Our peaches are doing well also.

Call's Fort Volleyball Tournament

Every year Jason's cousins put on a volleyball tournament at their ski lake. Jason puts together a team to compete and the rest of us go to hang out and swim. The kids are much braver this year in the water.

The water was apparently pretty cold so Bennett took a break to warm up.

We convinced the other two to come out long enough to eat too.
(Can you tell by Tessa's dazed look that she is tired but refuses to nap?)

After lunch Jason went out so the kids could jump in the water.

The boys were not as confident as Tessa was. They took some convincing that Jason would indeed catch them too and their heads would not go under the water.

They finally risked it and discovered that their dad was a trustworthy guy.

Jason's team did really well and ended up winning the tournament for the second year in a row.

Since Milo loves just being outside, he was a champ and happily wiggled/slept in the pack n play most of the time.

Bennett on his second hotdog.

Scott pulled out the drone to play with.

Tessa snacking on chips.

Cooper and Jason playing corn-hole.

The kids also had fun on the little playground that was there, despite the bees.

Enjoying the shade and tournament.

Silly face Cooper

After the tournament was over we all headed back to G&G Webre's house and the cousins all played very happily outside together.

None of them were happy when it was time to leave. Luckily we will see them again in five days for the Webre Family Reunion.

Tessa found a top hat and got all excited because it was just like The Greatest Showman.

She thought Milo needed to try it out too.
