Tessa at 10 Months

Tessa has been a little fussy lately. When I looked in her mouth I discovered why. She is growing 6 teeth at one time! She grew her first two teeth when she was 4 months old but then didn't grow anymore. She is making up for the months in inactivity for sure. Her front top teeth are already surfaced and visible. The two teeth on either side are just barely making appearances as well as her two bottom teeth next to the middle ones. Poor girl!
Other than teeth (and being sick the last few days) life in Tessa world is great. It seems that if she want to learn something new she can figure it out within a day. Crazy smart. Walking is one thing that takes a little more time, however. She is able to take a few steps on her own though.
She is also very good at mimicking sounds she hears. Sometimes it takes me a minute to figure out which sound she heard but she will always try to repeat it. She clicks her tongue, growls, and can say some letter sounds.
She thinks she can do everything her brothers do. She tries to use a hammer to pound on one of their toys, put puzzles together, read books, and even tries to walk down the stairs. It's kind of humorous when she tries to walk down the stairs because her legs are only slightly longer than the stairs.

Tessa tried her first lemon accidentally on December 20th. We were chatting with Juli, Susan, and their families and she just grabbed it off the table. She pulled some great faces but kept going back for more, so apparently she didn't mind it too much.

December 4th she learned to clap her hands....

...and climb down the stairs.

She loves her blanket and when she is ready to sleep she will pull it from her crib and snuggle on the floor.

And now for her official 10 month pictures:

I love this picture. It totally looks like someone posed her with her hand on her knee. Nope. That's all her.

Love the genuine joy captured in this picture.

And the attitude in this one.

This girl brings so much joy to her family.

Trying to get a non-blurry standing picture of Tessa is really hard since she is always on the go. Either she is bending down to crawl or trying to walk.

Haha

Tessa walking! I was trying to get a picture of her standing and accidentally pushed the record button. Sure glad I did!
