We all have been sick for nearly two weeks and therefore cooped up in the house for WAY too long. And since today was GORGEOUS we decided to take advantage of it and check out the Gardens at Thanksgiving Point.
It is basically impossible for me to get all three kids to look at the camera at the same time. I swear Bennett and Cooper conspire against me so if one of them happens to glance in the camera's direction, the other one looks away.
And then there is Tessa who won't sit still if she is set on the ground. (Hence she is cut out of this picture.)
Of course we had to pay a visit to the koi pond... twice. We had to go back because according to the boys the fish were "so hungry!" and clearly if we didn't go back they would all be neglected.
Jason joined us for lunch.
Bennett eating a squeeze packet
Tessa thought she was being sneaky stealing my wallet.
Bennett was a lot more willing to pose for me than Cooper was.
But I was able to trick him once by having him give Bennett a hug.
Another attempt at a sibling picture
Tessa couldn't resist the dirt and flowers.
Check out the cute little pine cone Bennett found!
While we were in the Secret Garden we decided to let Tessa take the lead.
There was a door already propped open but the boys insisted we go through the closed door.
If there is water, there must be splashing.
We found the construction zone as well and had to stop and watch the big tractors for a little bit.
Yay! They are both smiling and looking!
Loved all the colors.
One last attempt at a sibling picture: fail
Fun little side note: I totally made Tessa's shirt. One of my first attempts at sewing clothes.
After spending all day walking around looking at tulips, the boys went straight to the backyard to play in the water. I think we are all glad that it is starting to warm up.
