Christmas 2017

Christmas morning! We all got spoiled this year...

When asked at preschool what Cooper wanted for Christmas, he asked for a fly swatter. Several days later he commented that one present he KNEW he was getting was a fly swatter so.... both Bennett and Cooper got fly swatters so they don't fight over them.

Bennett woke up at 7:15 am and the other two had to be woken up at 7:30 so we could start on presents. We had a timeline. I love that my kids still sleep in on Christmas morning. I wonder how many more years that will last...

Opening their stockings.

And moving onto presents.

The boys got their first electric train from G&G Damstra. They were VERY excited.

And their big gifts from Mom and Dad...

... their very own tablets! We also started a token system so they are not constantly begging to play on them. They earn tokens by doing chores, STAYING in bed at night, doing things the first time we ask them, etc. Each token is worth five minutes of screen time. We thought it would be a good way to teach them money management without giving out money. If they save up their tokens they can play for longer periods. But usually they can't wait and spend their tokens as soon as they receive them. They are only 5 years old after all. ;)

Tessa's gift from G&G Damstra was a play kitchen. Tessa loved it! She is such a good little momma to her dolls and now she will be able to cook them food too! Luckily Jason is currently finishing a room in the basement so the kids will have a toy room in a few months so she will have a space to put it. It will stay in the box until we have the room. But she asks every day if the toy room is done yet so she can get her kitchen put together.

The aftermath of Christmas morning. It stayed this way until the next day because after we were done opening presents we packed up and rusheed to Grandma Sharp's for her annual Christmas brunch.

The boys were entertained with their tablets the whole way there and Tessa enjoyed playing with her new Moana necklace.

All packed up and heading out.

Every year Grandma's house gets more and more crowded. But she loves hosting everyone and spoiling all of us with gifts.

After brunch we headed up to  Brigham City to spend the rest of the day with the Webres.

We had a short Christmas program where anyone who wanted to could perform. The twins willingly sang some of their preschool songs.

The cousins put on a Nativity puppet show.

They are very cute.

And then we played games. This was a gift that Heather made for her parents. She created and designed it herself. It is called Webreland and includes a bunch of memories from their childhood. It was very cute.
