I have been running out of nesting projects and things to do so I needed something new to keep me busy that didn't involve too much energy. I decided to finally make Tessa her own quilt that actually fit her bed. I was able to make the quilt top out of fabric that I already had on hand and still match the new color scheme in her room. It was a fun pretty quick project and I love the way it turned out. Bonus: Tessa loves it too.
Selfies with my girl. :)
Susan watched the kids while I had one of my doctor's appointments and Lily made these fun ramps for them out of cardboard. We brought them home and the boys spent HOURS taping toys to the track and racing cars down. I love that they had so much fun with them. Boys are awesome.
Jenny had a birthday and decided to spend it with us! The Cooks came over for dinner and games.
The kids have been playing really well together lately. It has been a huge blessing as we prepare for a newborn that will require a good portion of my attention. I hope they keep this up. I feel like it has been a long time coming.
They each have their own "boat" (blanket covered couch cushion) and Tessa is having a picnic on hers.
While the Cooks were here Clara lost her binky. We looked everywhere for it and finally gave up. Several days later Tessa found it in the pantry, of course. Haha. It actually makes sense that Clara would leave her binky and trade it for some food. I don't know why that wasn't the first place we looked. ;)
This couch has served us very well for 6 years. It was the first "big" purchase we had when we got married and started furnishing our apartment. We found it on KSL for $20 and it has been SO comfortable that I haven't wanted to give it up. It was getting pretty old and gross though and did not fit well with the rest of our living room decor. It was time for it to find a new home. RIP couch.
My kids love to dance. They are all developing quite the dance moves. At least once a day Tessa asks me to turn on some music so she can dance. :)
Tessa walked into my room all proud of her big belly.
"Mommy, look! I have a baby in my tummy!"
She even has the pregnancy pose down.
Cooper was pretty proud that he was able to stick the comb in my hair.
Pool day with the Delongs!
Jason is terrible at remembering to take pictures so most pictures do not include me. Just imagine me sitting in the middle chair with my gigantic belly. :)
Tessa received these babies from Grandma Sharp. Rapunzel was her birthday present last year and she was given Elsa this year. She LOVES them and calls them "my girls". She is the perfect little mommy for them. It makes me smile.
It's been a while since we pulled out the tattoo mustaches. I asked Bennett to smile so I could get a picture.
He took a look at the picture and decided that his mustache deserved a more serious look. He then posed like this for the rest of the pictures (far right). It cracked me up.
I have been craving No Bakes for a while now and I finally made them. It's a good thing I don't make them that often because they are seriously like Crack for me. I CANNOT stop eating them until they are all gone. Yes, I ate nearly all of these by myself.
Cooper did my hair and then told me:
"This is how moms look so they can feel beautiful."
He also told me his inspiration was Rapunzel. :)
Tessa taking care of her "baby".
As mentioned above, my kids love to dance. Tessa has come up with some very fun facial expressions and poses. These videos are a little long but are gems. :)
On a warm day the kids pulled out the chalk. All of a sudden Tessa's face was transformed into a rainbow.
These guys make me laugh. They were all huddled on the chair pretending to play games and take pictures with various dead electronics. There were two old cell phones and one old iPod. None of which even turn on anymore. That didn't stop my kids from "playing" on them for quite some time.
