Brigham City and Hiking to the "B"

Headed up to Brigham City for the holiday weekend. Grandma and Grandpa spoiled the kids with some ice cream.

We decided to hike up to the Brigham City "B" on the mountain right behind the Webre's house. The kids were really excited about it. We started the hike with walking sticks and a steep incline.

Cooper's stick quickly turned into a gun.

Tessa slowed down fast and didn't want to walk anymore.

So this is where we parted ways with Grandma and Tessa so they could head back home.

The rest of us continued onward in our quest to the "B".

Bennett just randomly decided to lay down in the patch of grass in the middle of the path. It made me happy.

When we got this point we realized we were directly below the "B" so started to climb directly up the front of the mountain. Then decided it would take FOREVER to do it that way and then would have to climb all the way back down. So we called it quits (even though the boys were game).

But not before we documented our efforts with a picture.

I had no idea that we had cactus in Utah but we saw several along this trail.

Milo was introduced to his first Puff Cheeto. He wasn't sure what to think about it at first, but then he decided that he was a fan.

The kids helped Grandma make some rolls.

After our failed attempt to find the "B" on Saturday, we decided to take Hunter along with us to show us the right way to get there. Tessa opted to stay behind to play with her cousins while the boys ventured up the mountain once again.

We made it! Hunter, Evan, Jason, Cooper, Bennett, and Marie actually climbed all those rocks to get to the "B" itself. My fear of heights randomly kicked in and I just couldn't bring myself to do it. But I did make it about half way up and was able to turn around and enjoy the view.

After the "B" we decided to continue onward to the waterfall that Hunter talked up quite a bit. The boys were doing awesome and we made it all the way there. But the waterfall itself was really hidden and difficult to see unless you hung out at the very edge of the rocks along the side of the waterfall so... probably not worth it. But everyone still had fun and the boys did GREAT! We hiked for over two hours and there was no complaints from the boys. We will have to do some more hiking with them this summer.
