Newborn Pictures

Here are some pictures taken by Jill once Cooper finally came home from the NICU. The twins are about a month old in these pictures. I think she did an amazing job. Seriously, not sure what we would do if we didn't have Jill around to take such amazing pictures for us.

Thanksgiving

My dad and sisters came to visit us for Thanksgiving and to meet the twins. Here is their visit documented in pictures. These are not in the correct order, but I'm too lazy right now to try to fix that.

After three weeks in the NICU, Cooper was FINALLY able to come home with us! Happy day. It also happened to be the day that Crystal was leaving. Good timing, Cooper. Unfortunately, Sarah had left the day prior, so she was only able to see him in the NICU.

This was the first time the boys were side by side since the day they were born. Bennett was asleep and couldn't care less, but Cooper was staring at his brother quite intently. It was cute.

 Both boys bonding with Auntie Crystal before she had to leave for the airport. She literally had one hour with both of them before heading out.

We did many more fun and exciting things, but didn't take pictures of them. I sure loved having my family here. It was really sad to see them leave. Hopefully we will all live a lot closer together soon so we can see each other more frequently than once or twice a year.

     This update is way over due. I've been a little busy lately with all the changes in my life. But I figured I had a few minutes, I better just start blogging. I'm warning you ahead of time that the posts will probably not be in order, but at least they will be on the blog.

     The biggest news I have is that we are now a family of four! Can you believe it? We jumped from a family of two straight to four. The Webres don't mess around. :) Here is a video that my sister-in-law, Jill, made of Cooper and Bennett's birth. She is amazing. This video makes me cry every time I watch it. I'm SOO grateful that she spent the time making it for us. Just a side note for posterity's sake: We are still not sure what Cooper's weight was at birth. Everything we have been told was 4 lbs. 3 oz. but when we were filing for birth certificates, a nurse informed us that some document from Labor and Delivery said that he was 4 lbs. 6 oz. So that is what is stated on his birth certificate. The world may never know the truth... ANYWAY, here is the beautiful video.

     Perhaps if I have the time I will tell you the birth story from my point of view. Maybe even tonight, but I'm not making promises. I have no idea when the twins are going to wake up hungry.

Camping

Well, the summer is almost over and we FINALLY made it camping with our friends. It was actually a really last minute thing that turned into an adventure. Apparently everyone in Utah was camping this weekend. The difference between them and us is that they actually made reservations. We drove around 3 or 4 different campgrounds looking for an available camp spot. Finally we ended up in this field with everyone else that apparently forgot to reserve. It kind of had the feel of a Hooverville. It was awesome. We had to hurry and set up camp because it was already dark and WAY past dinnertime. We had a campfire that night with hot dogs and dutch oven peach cobbler. In the morning we made breakfast burritos in the dutch oven. Apparently the boys should have woken up at around 4 or 5 in the morning if we actually wanted to eat it for breakfast. I guess we can just consider it a brunch. Then we packed up and moved on out. Short and sweet trip, but oh so fun. I'm glad we were able to finally do it.

 This is in the morning. Lovely, I know. I look like I am slouching really bad, it's just my big ol' pregnant belly.We just wanted to show off our new tent. It poured during the night and the inside was bone dry in the morning. Hurray!

 We had a few extra eggs in the morning and so the boys thought they would be great for target practice.

And here is the target. Notice that after all six eggs were thrown, the bottle (aka, the target) is still left untouched and the stump only received two hits. Our boys are amazing. :)
