We have been loving the Butterfly Biosphere lately. It is great for gloomy days because it's all indoors and the butterfly room feels very tropical.

Ever since Tessa was born, these two have had a special bond. Recently, when we ask the kids what they want (to do or eat), Tessa usually responds with "I want whatever Cooper wants."
Milo discovered the baby tunnel.
Cooper was having a great time chatting it up with the worker and learning all about the bugs.
The goal every time we go is for a butterfly to land on the kids. They are usually not very successful, but they love the butterflies just the same.
Bennett was able to persuade one to sit on his butterfly card.
I found this blue fabric and I knew it would be a perfect match for Milo's eyes so I HAD to buy it. I love how the romper turned out so I tried to get a cute, smiling picture of Milo wearing it. Milo was very uncooperative BUT I was able to capture several other of his fun expressions. He is a very expressive boy and I love it.
I was trying to get a picture of him standing and he was so sick of pictures that he rebelled and went as anti-standing as he could. Little did he know it was actually quite an adorable pose anyway. Haha, Milo!
Trying to distract him with a ball didn't help but he was happier.
That is, until I tried to get a picture with all four kids and he was contained. THEN he was done for good.
She has been SO excited for her birthday for so long. She had a hard time falling asleep the night before. She woke up to streamers on her door and the dining room decorated in pink. She requested Cream of Wheat for breakfast and then opened her presents afterward.
She received a Little Mermaid outfit (bottom half made by me), Little Mermaid nightgown (that she has been begging me to make her ever since she saw the Little Mermaid fabric months ago), a doll, and a princess tent.
She was the very most excited about the castle (which she asked for back in January when she saw that her cousin, Cosie, received one for her birthday) and her Little Mermaid nightgown. I was even given a huge voluntary hug for the jammies. "You made this for me?! I love it! Thank you, Mom!"
She wanted to go swimming so we headed off to our nearest rec center pool.
She is our little fish and LOVES the water. She refused to let me get a picture of her though and she threw a big fit when it was time to go. I literally had to drag her out of the water. But that just means she was having a great time... right?!
The boys love swimming too. It's so nice they are all old enough that they can go swim around by themselves and not be clinging to us anymore. I just had to worry about hanging onto Milo. He did great and reminded me of a little sea otter because he just wanted to float on his back with his hands on his belly the whole time. He was loving it though.

After a pizza lunch the kids all hopped in the pink bubble bath.
A year ago in Tessa's birthday she decided that for her next birthday she wanted a rainbow cake. Fast forward a year and she totally remembered and reminded us that is what she wanted! Jason was on top of it and quickly got to work making her wish come true.
I thought he did a fantastic job and Tessa was very pleased.
Milo is 11 months and is getting more and more difficult to document. He will NOT hold still. haha.

Pretty much sums up how the last two weeks has been while Milo is SUPER congested. He HATES having his nose wiped but also gets really frustrated when he can't breath through his nose and suck on his binky. We are both done with his congestion already.
This may look like a happy face, but he was about to cry because he kept trying to climb down and I kept putting him back up on the chair.
Then Dad came to the rescue with silly faces and a distracting video.
-He as successfully mastered climbing down the stairs. One day something just clicked and he was able to do it like a pro. Now the whole house is open to him and he can't be happier about it.
- He is not any closer to walking that he was a month ago. But he can take a single step occasionally but most of the time he doesn't even try. Crawling is much more efficient.
- He loves to climb on everything and can finally get off the couch without face planting. Yay!
He still likes to put anything and everything in his mouth and crawl around the house with it dangling from his mouth. It's quite comical.
