We went up to Brigham City for General Conference. This is how Tessa watched Conference.
We made fancy caramel apples
This is how I watched a session of Conference. The other room with the television was rather crowded.
Bennett sleeping with his beloved "boo 'onkey" (blue monkey)
Cooper with his beloved "geen 'onkey" (green monkey)
The boys love to play with my hair clips. Bennett was showing me "bite you, 'onkey!"
Cooper's turn
The boys are usually rather cranky if I try to wake them up from their naps. So I tried a new tactic: have Tessa wake them up. It is much more successful. They sure love their sister. And as you can tell from this picture, she really enjoyed waking up her brothers.
Tessa had already woken up Cooper and we all went downstairs to wake up Bennett.
Pretty girl
I just love seeing all three kids play together. Bennett is giving Tessa a hug.
The boys see different letters in their food as they eat. Apparently this piece of cheese looks like the letter "E"?? Silly Bennett. [They now think their food all looks like dinosaurs. They have chicken nuggets that are actual dino shapes, so I think that is why they made the transition to ALL food looking like dinos.]
The boys crawl into our bed most nights (we let them sleep there for a few minutes and then put them back in their own beds.) I find it funny that fairly often I catch Jason and the boys sleeping in the same position. They are definitely related. [I want to say this is Bennett but I could be wrong.]
The boys enjoy cleaning. Cooper noticed a few crumbs on the floor so he said he was going to "keen up big mess!" Usually he can't get the crumbs in the dust pan with the broom so after attempting it, he will pick them up by hand and place them in the dust pan so he can then dump the contents into the trash.
Tessa loves to pull herself up into a standing position on the zebras. They are some of the boys' favorite toys so I think she feels like a big kid if she is playing with them too.
Cooper has discovered that things sound different when he plugs his ears. I will now catch him plugging and unplugging his ears at random times.
Cute Cooper with the dust pan
I love the accessories Cooper comes up with sometimes.
When you are feeling lazy but still want to play with your toys...
Cooper left, Bennett right
Tessa is terrible at eating baby food. She often gets distracted and would rather play than eat. This was the first time she actually finished a whole container in one sitting!
For mutual one night, the Laurels hiked Y mountain. It was dark the whole hike, which was good because we still worked up a sweat. I cannot imagine what it would have been like in the heat of the day!
It was a fun experience. L to R: Briana Gubler, Kamri Larson, Aubrey Blair, Grace Blaser and Kate Allred in front
The boys still love to sit in the chair reading books after their bathes. (Bennett left, Cooper right)
Bennett playing with Tessa
We told the boys to get their jammies on one night while we were still downstairs. I came upstairs to clothes and diapers all over the floor and two very naked boys running around.
Bennett cheesing it up with Elmo's crown. The boys are starting to smile on demand now and it is adorable.
Cooper wanted a turn with the Elmo crown.
This is Heaven for Tessa. She LOVES to eat the ends of cords. We have gone through 2 or 3 phone chargers because Tessa has destroyed them. I took this picture to send to Jason since these are his cords and he knows better than to just leave them on the floor like this.
Watching shows in the morning. Cooper in red, Bennett in blue.
There is a little boy bully in nursery. He has been kicked out of nursery before for hitting a little girl and biting my boys. This was the aftermath of a different attack that involve clawing Cooper's face to bits. This picture isn't very clear so you can't see all of the scratches. But he looked like he had walked through a thorny bush. Funny thing is, when I went to pick the boys up after church Cooper told me he had a fun time at nursery. Obviously it didn't scar him for life. Haha.
The boys got snow boots this year. Bennett trying his on.
Cooper was pretty pleased with his boots.
Cooper is such a punk when it comes to taking pictures sometimes. He knows I am trying to get smiling pictures and he will purposely look away or just be plain uncooperative. At least I got one of Tessa and Bennett smiling.
This is pretty typical of photo shoots. Tessa just sits and smiles at me while I am trying to get the boys to look at me.
Bubbles before bed one night.
Tessa isn't too sturdy on the stairs yet and so I like to keep an eye on her while she is climbing. I heard her climbing up once and rushed to spot her. When I got there I found Cooper standing right behind her ready to catch her if she fell. He had been carrying his blanket downstairs for a nap and dropped it to protect his sister. The boys' love for and awareness of their sister never cease to amaze me.
[This picture was the next day when Cooper once again came to protect his sister. I was able to catch it on camera this time.]
Cooper making a tunnel for Bennett to crawl under
Bennett making a tunnel for Cooper then sitting on him. They love this game.
Tessa smiling away. She loves this vibrating back massager.
Bath time smiles!
