November 2015

I realized while getting ready for church one day in Brigham City that all of the kids matched. So I tried to take a few pictures.
Cooper and Tessa

Bennett, Tessa, Cooper

The boys have discovered the heater vents. Perfect place to hang out when it is cold outside.

The boys insist on taking pictures in front of Tessa's bear every month now while I am trying to take pictures of Tessa.

The first picture I was able to get of Tessa showing off her standing skills.

Tessa has discovered the joy of tissue boxes now.

According to my children, this is how a doggie climbs down the stairs. Unfortunately, Tessa also thinks she can climb down the stairs this way and it doesn't end well. Cooper is pictured.

Bubbles before bedtime.

The first snow of the season! The boys had to try out their new snow boots and play in it. Bennett decided after a short while that he would rather be inside.

Cooper would have stayed out longer if he had someone to play with.

Cooper looks like he is caroling in this picture. He's not.

I had to laugh because Fall finally got here and then a week later Winter came. This picture captures all four seasons in one: Fall leaves, Winter snow, Summer grass, and Spring rain.

Our poor, cold pumpkins.

Jason pulled out the guitar briefly and the boys thought it was awesome.  Cooper is in light blue, Bennett is in the navy blue.

Tessa showing off more of her standing skills. She still only stands for a few seconds at a time and my camera doesn't focus that fast. Hence the blurry pictures.

Love my kids. (Cooper is in grey hoodie, Bennett in blue shirt.)

The boys call Tessa's bathtub "Bucky" now because that is the name of the ship on Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

Sometimes they like to climb in "Bucky" and other times they like to push Tessa around in it. This is Bennett. It was his idea to start pushing Tessa around.

All three kids in one Target shopping cart. Bennett was insistent that he sit next to Tessa even though I tried to explain that there wasn't room. I love that they love her so much.

I was cooking or something upstairs and wanted to keep Tessa downstairs with the boys. I thought shoving the Love Sac in front of them would stop her. The little smarty pants found a way around my blockade. I am still not sure how...

Jason reading a book to Tessa and Bennett.

Heather wanted to get some fun shots of our family for our Christmas present this year. I thought I would snap a few at the park too. It was such a gorgeous day!

Cooper up top, and Bennett below.

Bennett throwing some leaves.

G & G Webre bought the boys this awesome teepee for their birthday this year.

I love this shot. Jason is blowing leaves at the boys with the leaf blower.

Funny Story: We tried to go to the temple several weeks ago but after getting all dressed and ready with Jenny at our house to babysit, we remembered that our recommends had expired. So we ended up going to a movie instead. Then Jenny came again to babysit in November so we could go to the temple and we had brand new recommends we had gotten that week. We headed off to the Timpanogos Temple only to discover that it was closed for maintenance. Awesome. So we drove a half hour more to the Jordan River Temple and they said that Jason's recommend had expired. We were confused for a minute and then Jason realized that he had accidentally torn up his new recommend and put his old recommend in his wallet! So they had to call our bishop for his approval. He didn't answer so they called our stake president. Luckily he happened to be in our ward and knew Jason and had no problem giving his okay. We FINALLY made it into the temple. Then Jason had to explain the next Sunday what happened so he could get another recommend. It was great. I laughed.
ANYWAY, this picture is of a tree outside of the Jordan River Temple. I loved the contrast of the bright yellow leaves and the super dark bark of the tree.

Tessa climbed onto the stool so she could hang out with her brothers in the bathtub. I was amazed that she could climb that high.

Then after their baths she climbed into their book drawer. She is quite the climber. Her brothers have always been good climbers too.

We are starting to feed Tessa baby food more consistently now. She is eating it MUCH better. I discovered the best way to feed her is from a squeeze packet holding a spoon in the other hand to catch any food that may dribble out of her mouth.

After eating she decided she wanted a nap. She grabbed her binky and her blanket and just lay on the floor. I transferred her into her crib and then she was out.

Tessa loves to chew on the strings of my sweatshirts.

All three kids had been sick for days and I had to miss out on Young Women in Excellence on that Wednesday because Jason had a work dinner that he couldn't miss. I was really bummed out about it (especially now because our ward was split in half just three short days afterward). I needed to do something fun with the kids so I wasn't thinking about how I was missing the biggest night of the year for the Young Women. I decided to sew some old sheets together and build a big fort for the kids. Cooper is pictured.

Tessa thinks that if there is a gap anywhere, she can fit through it. She is learning the hard way that this is not always the case. Just so you know, she is not actually stuck in this picture, just frustrated that she can't make it through.

After being cooped up all week with sick kids, we decided that we all needed to get out of the house on Saturday. We went to D.I. and Bennett quickly discovered how fun it is to hide in the clothing racks.

And then Cooper (in the hat) joined in on the fun.

As mentioned above, our ward boundaries have changed. They made four wards into six. In so doing, they cut our ward right down the middle. Our new ward is in purple on this map. About half of that yellow ward used to be in our ward. We gained a lot of townhouses, which means we have a lot more young families in our ward. BIG nursery and primary, and a tiny youth program. We went from having about 30 active Young Women in our ward to having about 9 active girls and only 15 total. Since we are doing a ward girls camp this year, it is going to make things really interesting. Can you tell my calling is in the YW? haha. I am the Laurel Adviser. When I first had this calling we only had about two laurels that would come at any given time. I finally gained 8 or 9 girls and now I am back down to one girl. I have a feeling we will be joining up with the Mia Maids quite a bit for our activities.

Back to my cute kids.
Cooper asked to hold Tessa one morning and then told me to take a picture. I thought it was the sweetest thing ever until he asked for a fruit snack right afterward. The whole thing was a ploy to get fruit snacks! (We bribed them with fruit snacks for their three year pictures.) At least I got an adorable picture out of the deal.

Bennett with the top of the fruit snack box.

When Tessa gets really excited these days she will raise her hands up in the air and just hold them there for a few seconds. It looks like she is riding a roller coaster and I love it.

Bennett (blue) and Cooper (yellow) love to play and wrestle with their sister. They can be a bit rough with her sometimes but clearly Tessa doesn't mind. She just eats up the attention.

The kids are so hard to get to look at the camera all at the same time. But they are getting good at camera smiles.

Happy girl

I wish the sun wasn't directly in her face in this picture. But I still love it.

This video makes me smile. I was trying to get a video of Tessa standing independently but Cooper wanted some camera time.
