Based on this picture, you would think it was fall right now. Our dang sycamore trees did NOT want to give up their leaves until they were forced out by tiny new leaves. So we get to rake leaves in the spring too. Yeah!
Tessa exploring
I love babies in towels
Tessa loves her brothers. And they are so good with her.
Birthday breakfast!
Adorable dress from Grandma Sharp
For her birthday, I got Tessa a new baby doll and stroller. The boys have loved playing with her doll as well. Here they are showing her the joy of playing outside.
Going down the slide
A ride in the back of the truck
Cooper showing me her eyes
Bennett taking a stroll on our snow strip.
The boys like to walk on the treadmill from time to time (with close supervision from dad, of course). One night Tessa saw her brothers walking and she decided that she REALLY wanted to try too. It is really cute watching her try to be just like her big brothers.
The boys love the dinosaur museum.
Tessa has picked up that we fold our arms during prayer. She has started doing it on her own and it is the cutest thing ever.
We found a [very slow] fly by the boys' window and Cooper thought it would be fun to try to catch it.
Every bathroom stall needs a toddler seat in it. Life saver when her brothers insist that they need to go potty mid-shopping trip.
Grandma and Grandpa Halladay came home from their mission in the Philippines. After greeting them at the airport, we had a dinner at a church. All the toddlers were so cute lined up waiting for their food.
On the drive between the airport and the church for dinner, Tessa was talking on her phone.
So I thought it would be fun to make some play-dough for the boys. I found this recipe that called for only two ingredients: cheap conditioner and cornstarch. It was an epic fail. It was super crumbly and messy. But the boys had fun tearing it into little bits. After they were done playing I promptly threw it away.
Tessa is a climber and risk-taker. Why sit on the bench when you can stand on a rocking horse while playing the piano?
These jellies. Tessa LOVES them. Every time she saw them laying around she would pick them up and carry them all over. But I had ordered them online from Old Navy and they were too big. I was going to try to exchange them in the store for a smaller size but after calling/checking three or four stores repeatedly for several weeks to no avail, I finally decided that I would just have to exchange them via mail. When we finally got the correct size she happily wore them all over the house. I don't know what it is about Jellies, but I loved them as a little girl and now my little girl loves them. We must be related. ;)
I had bought some metal headbands off Amazon because Tessa's hair was getting too long for elastic headbands. Because they are a little big on her, they would sometimes droop down in her face like this. I love how it makes her ears stick out. Haha.
She even left her head band alone when it fell into her eyes like this. How does this not drive her crazy?! It was cracking me up!
This is what our family has felt like for the past couple of weeks. Cooper got sick first (and the worst) with a fever and runny nose. When he started to recover, Bennett, Tessa, and I started getting sick. Luckily the three of us didn't get a fever. Just a runny nose. But we were stuck in the house for two weeks straight! It was horrible.
Tessa sporting a new dress I made. I have been itching to sew and thought I would branch out into the clothing department. This was my first project. I spent all day making it and then tried it on her only to find it was too small! I extended the straps and now it fits alright. But I am still not very happy with how it turned out. I think I might shorten the skirt length.
The next day I made this shirt for her that turned out MUCH better. I am a fan. But after two attempts at making skirts for me that did not turn out how I wanted them to, I decided to just purchase clothing from now on instead of trying to make it myself. :)
I don't understand how folding yourself in half to sleep is comfortable. But she is often found sleeping like this. (You can see her toes sticking out by her shoulder next to her fingers.)
I love that there was no explanation for the mustache. Did Jason draw that on his lip?
ReplyDeleteI just barely noticed your comment. Haha. The boys have a book called Mustache Baby that is one of their favorites. I found mustache tattoos on Amazon and the boys periodically ask to wear them so they can be just like Mustache Baby.
