I have been neglecting this poor flowerbed for a couple of years now because the dirt is basically just clay. It makes it VERY hard to pull up the weeds and they grow back too fast to keep up. My mom came up for BYU's Women's Week and to help me with the kids while Jason was gone. I saved this special project for when she was here since she enjoys working in the yard and has a green thumb. It took the full four days of Jason's business trip to get everything pulled up, weed-guard laid down, re-frame the flowerbed, plant a few new plants, and put mulch down. All while we had three kids underfoot. Whew!

This side I ended up doing all by myself one day while my mom was out visiting with some friends. Luckily this side was a little easier than the other.
