Dinosaur Museum & Farm Country

On Derek Day (Aug. 19th - his birthday and death day), the boys fittingly chose to go to the Dinosaur Museum. Derek LOVED dinosaurs, especially T-Rex. I tried to get the boys to do a classic Derek T-Rex pose. They aren't nearly as great as Derek was, but they did a pretty good job for their first try.

Agh! Shark!

This dinosaur isn't technically a T-Rex, but it had better lighting so I had the boys pose again.

Trips to the Dinosaur Museum usually take less than an hour because the boys literally run through the whole museum. So we decided to visit Farm Country as well.

Tessa and Bennett checking out the not-so-baby chicks.

All three kids loved the full-grown chickens and roosters.

Pony rides! There wasn't enough small horses to accommodate all three of my kids by the time we got in so I tried having Bennett and Tessa share a pony. But apparently it wasn't allowed. So after this picture I took Tessa off and she had to wait her turn.

Cooper was really excited!

Both of the boys LOVED riding and wanted to go again as soon as they stopped.

Bennett

Tessa taking her turn. She tried to get off several times while waiting for the other kids to get on their ponies. I think she was scared and nervous. But I made her stay on because I knew she would love it. I was right. As soon as the horses started moving she had a blast!

After the pony rides we got a tractor ride. The kids enjoyed that as well. Tessa wouldn't sit still so Bennett volunteered to hold Tessa in place. She wasn't a fan of this idea, but he sure was cute.
