August 2017

I was about to take the trash in and Cooper jumped up and offered to do it. I warned him that is was pretty big and probably too heavy for him but he insisted, so I let him. His strength surprised me. He as able to pull it almost the whole way up the driveway by himself before Bennett had to help him the rest of the way. I am thinking this will be his new chore...  ;)

After all his hard work bringing the garbage can in, he cracked open some pistachios and enjoyed them while chilling in his camping chair.

Bennett loves to do "magic" tricks.

Tessa was giving Rapunzel a ride in the back of her truck when Rapunzel needed some snuggles. So she got out and sat with her for a while. Such a sweet little momma.

I always love seeing their faces after drinking smoothies. Bennett had no idea he had some on his forehead.

Purple mustache!

The boys LOVE corn on the cob. (Bennett left, Cooper right)

We went up to Brigham City and spent a few hours on the Mantua Reservoir. By the time we made it to Grandma and Grandpa's house, the twins decided they were done with the car and just wanted to play there. But Tessa was up for an adventure so she came along. She is our little water baby.

I forgot my waterproof case for my phone so I didn't take too many pictures, but we took the kayaks to the other side of the lake and back. Halfway back Jason decided to jump in to cool off and Tessa promptly joined him. She was having a blast and didn't want to get back in the boat when it was time to row back.

Sweet little Alden got blessed by his father.

Tessa is pretty shy and usually only wants Mom or Dad. But after being dropped off at Grandma's house several times this Spring/Summer she has grown a super strong bond with Grandma. Now sometimes only Grandma can calm her down or get her to sleep.

Afternoon church is really rough on this poor girl. She doesn't get her usual nap which she desperately needs to function. So on Sundays she is occasionally found dozing in random places.

The boys have started a free online preschool program called Waterford Upstart. They love it and they have already progressed so much since they started. They are required to do at least 15 minutes a day 5 days a week, but always end up doing more than that.

Tessa has been going through the terrible TERRIBLE twos lately. Like, she starts crying over something silly and sticks with her tantrum for over two hours straight. It has been AWFUL.

But we discovered she only throws her horrible tantrums when she is over tired and not getting enough sleep. We now make sure she sticks to her nap and bedtime schedule and things have improved greatly. Hallelujah!

The boys were so cute working on their letters and numbers. Yes, Bennett is a lefty. He used to switch back and forth between his right and left hand for a little while but after he broke his right arm and he could only do things with his left hand for 3 weeks, I think it solidified his left-handed preference.

Anniversary date! It has been six wonderful years. We kept it simple this year: we did sealings at the temple and went out for dinner afterward.

The food was yummy.

Tessa was pitching a fit because she wanted ME to get her some ice in her cup even though Bennett offered several times to help her. She can be super stubborn.

I accidentally dropped the cheese container on the floor while trying to get it out of the fridge and it cracked me up how quickly the vultures descended. At least I didn't have to worry about cleaning it up. :)

Tessa being overly tired once again. I think she was going through a growth spurt.

Bennett looked so cute eating his ice cream cone.

Tessa ate a blue M&M and got so excited that her tongue was [faintly] blue just like her cousin Jaxon's tongue was in a skype session we had a few weeks prior.

Bennett and Tessa "reading" a book together.

My three silly kids.

Cooper playing with chalk. They love to color on themselves and I let them since it brushes right off.

My personal hair dressers: Bennett and Tessa

All three "napping" in the couch. (Cooper on top, Bennett below)

Rapunzel was dancing on the piano, which isn't allowed, so her mommy decided to teach her the proper way to play it.

Bennett and his work of art.

Tessa talking to Grandma Williams on the "phone" (tv remote).

Tessa asked me to paint her toenails and then got impatient with how long it took to dry.

Our normal outside routine: the kids ask if they can ride their bikes. I tell them yes then grab my chair and ice water so I can supervise. They ride their bikes for about five minutes then decide to get their own chairs and ice water and sit with me. We chill in our driveway chewing on ice cubes and sipping water for a while and then all head inside. We live an exciting life.

Tessa munching ice,

I love how kids can find fun ways to play with anything. Cooper had built a cool tower with these hangers.

I love watching the boys learn new things.
