Memorial Day Weekend

We went up to Brigham City for Memorial Day weekend to spend time with family.

Bennett asked to take a picture with my phone and then snapped this gem. I love it!

Shortly after arriving in Brigham we headed out to Mantua for some kayaking and Razor fun. It was really hot so we decided to wait until evening to go up since there wasn't a lot of shade. Once we got there a storm started rolling in and cooled things off quickly. We started wondering if we should have come up earlier after all. Either way the kids had fun.

Tessa loved this stick.

Successful trip across the lake.

Bennett wanted to go swimming and then decided it was too cold to go too far in.

Tessa was a little more brave but even she called it quits quickly.

Cooper opted for a Razor ride instead. He was pretty excited.

Tessa totally reminded me of an Oompa-Loompa in her life jacket/ wet suit combo.

The Cooks

Scott pulled out his drone and the big boys were having fun playing with it.

Grandma got some snuggle time.

Tessa's turn on the Razor

The drone was quite entertaining.

Tessa was freezing after playing in the water so we wrapped her up in a blanket. She looked like a homeless child with her dirt smudged face and dirty blanket.

After getting back from the lake we had a campfire to roast s'mores. The sunset was gorgeous.

The kids were playing on the trampoline while waiting for good roasting coals.

The official roasters.

Tessa had a glob of marshmallow fall on her arm and watching her try to clean it up made for an even bigger mess. I liked the marshmallow dripping off her mouth. They had baths before bed. ;)

Tessa has been fighting naps lately. Playing at G&G Webre's house is exhausting though. She fell asleep upright and slept for a long time like this. She even woke up briefly and then nodded off again, still sitting. I laughed and then guided her into a laying position so she didn't fall over and jolt awake.

Grandma's iPad is always a hit.

I was trying to get a cute swing picture of Tessa and busted up when I discovered this picture later. She looks super fat! Bahaha!

This was taken moment after the previous picture and turned out MUCH better. But I still like her fat girl picture.

Tessa spent a lot of time on this swing. I was out with her and she requested an underdog. Cooper quickly volunteered to give her one. It was so cute! I love sibling love.

They then both went to "fly back to Grandma's house".

Since Monday was Memorial Day we did the traditional trip to the Honeyville Cemetery to visit the Tolman ancestors.

This is Grandma Rose's headstone. She is kind of who Tessa Rose was named after. (I really liked the name and Jason supported it because he had a Great Grandma Rose)
