Mother/ Daughter Date

After the boys' preschool graduation, Tessa and I dropped the boys off and headed back out  for our Mother/daughter date. My cousins had a dance recital and their dance teachers always put on a beautiful show. Since Tessa loves dancing I knew she would love it.

The first half of the show she was SUPER shy and clung to me and sat on my lap but her eyes were glued on the dancers. The second half she warmed up and started dancing in her little seat square. I think she really enjoyed herself. I asked her afterward if she wanted me to find her some dance classes so she could dance in a recital also and her eyes lit up. She has been talking about it nonstop ever since.

After the recital was over Tessa would not stop moving. She was literally running circles around us while the rest of us talked. Trying to grab her for a picture was not successful. She just squirmed away.

So I decided to just get a picture of Lily and Audrey instead.

I told her if she held still for a picture then we could go get a treat afterward and she agreed.

We went to the mall for some dinner and shopping. We found a sweet deal on clothes at Carters so Tessa picked out a pink dress that she said was perfect for dancing. We were going to go to Cold Stone on our way out for some ice cream but the line was literally out the door since it was date night (Friday) in Provo. So I promised her some ice cream when we got home.

My cute date. :)
