18 Months

The boys had their 18 month check-up yesterday. Here are their stats:

Cooper
Weight: 19.27 lbs - 2.13%
Height: 30 inches - 1.15%
Head: 18 inches - 10.5%

Bennett
Weight: 19.27 lbs. - 2.13%
Height: 29.75 inches - 0.61%
Head: 18.25 inches - 22.04%

The boys discovered the stairs at the doctor's office. They loved to climb up and down. (Bennett is in white, Cooper is in red)

They are still on the charts, as you can see. I mentioned to the doctor that they eat adult size portions but still don't seem to gain much weight. He wasn't worried at all. He simply said that some kids have really high metabolisms. You can feed them all you want and they just won't gain weight.
The boys come by it honestly. Neither Jason or I can seem to gain weight either. Please don't hate us.
They are doing really well in development except for communication. They are not saying words at all, which makes them behind other kids their age. However, they do speak gibberish fluently. They make a lot of different sounds, just haven't formed them into English words yet. He gave us a number we can call to get them evaluated if we want. Kids on the Move, whom he referred us to, can let us know if there is something we can work on or if there is really nothing to worry about. He explained that they can count how many different sounds the boys can form, which is better measure of where they are at. I'm not too worried about it so we'll see if we give them a call or not.
He did say we have to bite the bullet and purchase convertible car seats for the boys. I was really hoping we could hold out until they are allowed to be forward facing (age 2) because those car seats are so much cheaper. But I guess we'll have to suck it up since the doctor said the boys are getting too big for bucket car seats.
Overall, the boys are doing great. They were champs when it came to shots. Luckily they only had to get one this time and the nurse let them sit on my lap while she gave it to them. They didn't even cry! Amazing.
