My mom surprised us with a visit between her radiation and chemo treatments!
The first night she showed up, it was the kids' bedtime so she was able to read them a bedtime story.
We had dinner over at the Klippels' house.

We went on a ride up to Willard Peak. My mom thought it was pretty fun to drive the Razor.

My mom loves to pose on any vehicle she can, so I thought I would get into it. This is what Jason drove.
It was super dusty so we had to hose everything down when we got back.
My kids have wanted umbrellas for FOREVER. Being from Washington myself and never using umbrellas, it is not very high on my priority list. But when Grandma came and we found some super adorable ones at Seagull books for $5 each, she gave in to their pleadings.

Grandma got each of us a bandana so we can be part of her Bandana Club.

Since it hasn't rained in a while, Grandma had to create some rain so the kids could enjoy their new umbrellas.

It was Stake Conference
Three generations
After church there was a small dinner gathering at Cindy's house
The Utah State Fair happened to be going on while they were here, so we decided to go to that. It was hot and a lot smaller than I was expecting (Washington knows how to throw a much better fair) but it was still fun.

There was a free circus.

Tessa was completely entertained by the whole performance.
The circus tent was even hotter than it was outside, so by the end of the show we all needed some ice cream to cool off. Grandma and Grandpa were kind enough to treat us.

Last stop at the fair was all the barns full of animals.
Tessa was completely in love with the sheep. She had to pet all of the ones that were close enough to reach.
They had hand-sanitizer outside each of the barns so we could keep our hands clean.
