Sea Quest

Grandma Webre treated the grandkids with tickets to SeaQuest in Layton so on our way home from Brigham we decided to go. Unfortunately  because it was President's Day and no one had school/work it was PACKED. But it was still super fun and the kids loved it. In fact, as we were loading up in the car Cooper declared that he wanted to live there.

Checking out the little gator tank.

Cooper on a canoe!

The whole aquarium was very interactive. There was a lizard room where you could actually walk amoung the lizards and pet them [with two fingers only]. Tessa would reach out and poke them for a second and then retract. But she did it multiple times.

Bennett was all about he lizards and loved petting them and feeding them. Cooper didn't want to touch them and was perfectly happy looking at them from a distance. (Which is ironic since he always says that he wants a lizard for a pet.)

Tessa checking out the octopus. If it got near enough to the surface you could even touch him. But he never did while we were there. (He was quite popular and was surrounded by people so we moved on fairly fast.)

Cheese!

Bennett splashing.

A few minutes later a worker let them feed the fish in this tank. They thought it was awesome. Especially since there was a little shark in there.

Tessa feeding the tortoise.

Bennett's turn! This worker was super nice with the kids and let us feed several animals without requiring tokens.

These fish eat the dead skin off your hands. It really tickles. You have to hold really still for them to come up to you.

You could feed the rays so they were not shy about coming right up to the glass to say hi.

Cooper got one!

Cute Bennett got three!

We decided to go back to check out the birds after a huge group had passed. But we still had to wait in line for a while to go in.

Waiting, waiting

I had to sit down on a bench and Tessa decided to rest on the tortoise, after poking it a few times to make sure it wasn't real. :)

We made it in with the birds!

It was so cool how they would swarm down as soon as the food came out. The boys loved them as long as they didn't land on their arms. (Their feet were a little pokey). Tessa wasn't so sure about them at first but warmed up quickly.

It was such a cool experience.

Tessa even had one land on her head!

Cooper liked to pet them.

Bennett's facial expression made me laugh in this picture. I think he was pretending to be eaten.
