Jason decided to work from home on Friday because the roads were pretty bad. Because of this, he was able to end a little early and take the kids sledding at the park.
While he was finishing up work, the boys got their snow gear on and started entertaining themselves with the new sled.
Once they had their coats and hats on, I made them go play in the backyard so they wouldn't overheat. They took turns pulling each other around.
When that got old and they were STILL waiting for their dad, they decided to start throwing snow at the glass door. Bennett would then eat the plastered snow right off the door.
By the time Jason was done with work, Tessa had woken up from her nap so of course she wanted to bundle up and join the fun so I decided to squeeze my snow clothes on over my very large belly and come along to take pictures.
Tessa is a dare devil. She liked when her dad spun her down the hill.
The jump didn't scare her either.
Trying to bring the tube back up.
It was hard getting pictures and videos of the boys sledding because they were doing their own thing on the sled and would not wait for me to get the camera read. But luckily they are big enough to haul their own sled back up the hill too.
I had purposely moved Tessa and her tube well out of the way before Bennett came down, but Jason still managed to steer him directly into her. Luckily everyone was fine.
I made Jason come fetch the tube every time because if I did too much climbing up the hill I would contract.
Bennett heading down again.
Bennett taking the jump. We could not convince Cooper to do it though.
Cooper and his sled. I didn't get any videos of him going down with his sled because he was by far the most independent. Plus he discovered if he moved a little bit away from us, it was harder for Bennett to take his turn on the sled. The little stinker...
We convinced the kids to take one ride all together.
Cooper approves this activity. It really is nice that we have the perfect sized hill within an easy walk of our house. And when the kids get a little older and want a bigger hill, there is an outdoor amphitheater that most people go to just down the road. I love where we live!
Cooper getting one final ride up the hill.
