I LOVE going to Ashton Gardens. So when it opened for the season the day before Milo's due date, I was really sad. I knew it would be at least a few weeks before I could enjoy it. Luckily my mom was coming to town and I would have help wrangling the kids while she was here.
Aunt Susan does volunteer work at the Gardens so she was able to give my mom a ticket for free entry so we were able to all enjoy the tulip festival. My favorite time of year!
Tessa prepared with her sunglasses and backpack full of her lunch.
This is normally the perfect spot for pictures, but the field of tulips was dying. The kids still insisted I snap a picture though.
Susan is a docent (basically a tour guide that knows cool facts about the gardens) and since no one else wanted to get tour, we were able to enjoy an exclusive one with our favorite guide.

Sisters!
Jenny and Clara were able to join us.

Susan shared fish food with ALL the kids.
The kids always love when they have the inflatables at the Gardens.

Jason was able to join us briefly so we could get our annual family Carousel picture. (This is the spot Jason proposed to me 6 years ago.)
