I love summer time and that my kids always want to play outside. It is totally worth all the extra laundry and scraped knees.
With the heat we have been having lately, water is a must. The kids love any excuse to use their umbrellas.

They discovered if they lay their umbrellas directly on the sprinkler they float up a little before falling back down.
After a while they got cold and decided to sit out in the sun to dry off (because their mean old mom wouldn't let them go inside until they were no longer dripping).
Milo and I sat in the shade and watched them.
Milo LOVES being outside and is the one time he is content without being surrounded by people.
