Pony Express Days 2018

We started our day off with a parade. I love that we just have to walk to the end of our cul-de-sac to get to the parade route.

Milo hanging out in the shade of my chair. He loves being outside so he was quite content.

Spiderman wanted Tessa give him a high five and he acted offended when she wouldn't. ;)

The boys learned quickly that if they cheered loud enough they would get candy thrown their way.

Sarah and her girls arrived around dinner time and we enjoyed some time with them. Then it was bedtime so we got everyone all ready for bed and even tucked them in, then the boys reminded us that we never took them to check out the carnival. Since it was the last night to go and we had promised, we got them out of bed and headed to the park. Luckily it is located super close to our house so we just walked there in their jammies while Sarah finished putting her girls to bed. (They are not old enough to be embarrassed by that yet and I was not about to get them dressed and have to start the bedtime routine all over again.)

As soon as we arrived the kids started dancing to the music.

They did this for a while without a care in the world. It made me very happy to see them so carefree.

This is what Milo thought of the whole thing:
I think he was a little confused with all the new sights, sounds, and smells.

One of Bennett's sweet dance moves.

And Tessa's

Trying to get a picture of all three of them looking at the camera was not going to happen. Too much excitement going on. So this is the best I got.

We briefly walked around the rides, but when they found out they were not going to get to ride any of them, they lost interest. (Next year I think we will actually be nice parents and get them wristbands to ride the rides.)

And then we all headed home.
