Zoo Day

When Grandma Imy and Grandpa Damstra came to visit, we had everyday planned. The first day was going to the Hogle Zoo.

The day started out with gifts from Grandma and Grandpa. Books for all the kids! And new Navy shirts, of course. Because what is a visit from Grandpa without new Navy gear? ;)

Kaylee and Jaxon checking out one of their new books with Grandma Imy (which they already had so we got to keep one copy). Tessa feasting away on her new book.

Grandpa reading Bennett his new book

Of course we had to see the giraffes.

Jaxon Bennett (I think) and Kaylee

We tried to keep a hat on Cooper so we could tell them apart in pictures, but it didn't last for the whole day. BUT if you see one of the twins in a hat, it's Cooper.

This summer the Zoo had some dinosaurs thrown in among the animals. Surprisingly, the dinosaurs were not contained as well as they should have been. Clearly the zookeepers learned nothing from Jurassic Park. ;)

Crystal and Tessa waiting for the bird show to start.

The boys have been hamming it up for the camera lately. Bennett is posing with me.

Tessa was teething the whole time my family was in town. Her first tooth finally broke literally hours after they left.

The bald eagles during the bird show.

It was a really hot day. Luckily there were misting fans scattered throughout the zoo.

Trying to keep Tessa hydrated.

Lunch break!

Keeping the kids entertained while waiting during a bathroom break.

Cooper being cute.

Checking out the seals and sea lions (which kept hidden mostly)
