After a week of fun and family time, it was time to head home. The boys were sure ready to see their daddy again. Near the end of the trip Cooper had a melt down because he saw Susan drive off in the van without him. He knew the van was his way home and he wanted to be in it. Susan had to come back to drop the dog off (which had ran away) and the boys promptly climbed into their seats ready to go. We had to pull them out kicking and screaming so she could finish her errands. Don't get me wrong, they had a great time in Washington with my cousins. They just really missed their daddy.
We took a ferry on the way home and the boys thought it was awesome.

This picture of Tess makes me smile. I was trying to get a picture of her first time on the ferry and she just HAD to show off her foot.
Bennett was excited that he could see boats.
Approaching Seattle
Bennett and Cooper had a great time playing with Lily and Audrey.

We met up with Carly and Emma at Panera Bread just off the freeway.

Our motel room that night. We were trying to make it to Boise that night so we would have a shorter trip the next day, but Tessa decided that she was DONE while we were in the middle of nowhere. She cried for an hour straight until we could make it to the next town. We stopped in Ontario, Oregon (which is right on the border of Oregon and Idaho) instead. We were all very exhausted. Bennett didn't even wake up when I transferred him from his car seat up to his cot in our second story motel room.

I wish I would have gotten a picture of the boys hugging their dad when we pulled up to the house. It was priceless. He was their motivation for getting back into the car after every stop we took on the way back. They would fight us until we asked if they wanted to go see Daddy. Then they would enthusiastically say "Okay!" and climb in. I cannot tell you how many times they muttered "Daddy" on the trip. For the next week or more Cooper will only let his dad do things for him (buckle him into the car seat, put on his shoes, etc).
