Webre Family Reunion: Day One

The Webres have decided that we need to start having annual family reunions. Jason volunteered to plan this year. Originally we were going camping at Five Mile Pass about 20 minutes west of our house so we could play on 4-wheelers all day. But when we found out that it was supposed to be in the high 90s all weekend, we decided camping in the desert was a bad idea. So the plan changed at the last minute. I feel like it was a lot more kid friendly and worked out great.

The first day we went to The Rush in Syracuse. It is a place with a bunch of things to do like go carts, bowling, arcade games, laser tag, and bounce houses. Unfortunately the boys had so much fun, they forgot to tell me when they needed the restroom so we had a few accidents. I was not prepared for that since we haven't had issues for several months so we rinsed them off the best we could and they got to deal with wet clothes. But now we know to be prepared for next time. :)

Bennett right outside the jumpy castle.

Tessa loved the bouncy castle. She fell down more often than she was up but the whole time she was laughing. After watching this video I realized that she started falling down on purpose.

Bowling. My name was on the board but I only got to bowl two or three rounds because Cooper freaked out when we left him at the bounce house with Jill and Chris, even though we were just a few yards away. Once we told him where we were, he kept coming over and talking with me and asking me to do things. Such is the life of a mom. :)

Tessa checking out the balls.

Bennett's favorite thing was this tiny carousel. He loved that he could ride it round and round. When it stopped, there was a button within reach of his horse that he could push to get it going again. He rode this a great deal of the time we were there. Cooper and Tessa thought it was pretty sweet too, but didn't ride it nearly as much as Bennett.

After The Rush we stopped at a park across the street and ate dinner.

Tessa kept wandering off. Cooper was good at dragging her back to the table.

Tessa snacking while waiting for dinner to arrive. (Scott and Marie needed to pick the lasagna up from Kim and Steve's house.)

The Feast!

The park had a REALLY cool playground. I was a huge fan. They had this covered area with several metal instruments the kids could play. And they actually sounded really pretty and not just noise even when Tessa played them.

Addi and Tessa playing and being cute.

It was a great first day that ended with most of the crew going to a drive-in movie. We headed back home with Scott and Marie to help set up camp and put our kids to bed.
