Texas Day 1: Time with G&G Williams

The first full day in Texas was spent at Crystal's house in San Antonio with Grandma and Grandpa Williams.

The kids opening their gifts.

Crowding around Grandpa to watch a video on his phone.

The whole day Tessa was lethargic and super clingy. When she did lay down to sleep she wouldn't sleep long before tossing, turning, and fussing. It was so strange since she didn't have a fever, cough, runny nose, or any other indication that she was sick. I still don't know what was wrong. But luckily the next day she snapped out of it and was great the rest of the trip.

Kaylee got a Hatchimal for Christmas, which was all the rage this year. I haven't seen such a hot Christmas toy since the Furby in the 90s. It was crazy. So Kaylee was overjoyed that she was able to get one. We all gathered round waiting for the thing to hatch. It took WAY too long (about 45 minutes).

But Kaylee was totally into it the entire time.

FINALLY hatched and Kaylee couldn't be happier.

That evening G&G Williams, the twins, and I drove around looking at Christmas lights. The boys fell asleep in the car pretty fast and missed most of the lights.

When we got back we put the boys to bed (Tessa was already sleeping) and Jason and I went to check out the lights on the Riverwalk.

They were beautiful! And so nice to get a date with Jason.

The next morning the kids played outside with their cousins. It was so cute watching Kaylee push Tessa and Jaxon push Cooper. Jaxon later even taught Cooper how to pump on his own! I was so impressed. We will see if it sticks by the time it's warm enough to swing in Utah.

One last picture with grandparents before going our separate ways. The Williams were headed to Lousiana to visit my mom's old mission field. Jaxon did NOT want to be in the picture, in case you couldn't tell. Ha. (Bennett next to Kaylee, Cooper on Grandpa's lap)
