Annual Volleyball Tournament at the Lake

Every year the Tolmans host a volleyball tournament at their lake. Jason was asked to form one of the teams competing. He had a team put together and then they all started bailing out for various reasons at the last minute. The night before the tournament he only had two people on his team (and he should have had six). He told me "where there is a will there is a way." So he headed up to Honeyville the next morning with faith that a team would come together. The kids and I headed up a few hours later and turns out he was right! He put a team together last minute. During the preliminary rounds to rank the teams, Jason's team lost all three of their games so they were ranked last place. But at least he had a team.

The kids suited up and went right for the water.

Tessa was a HUGE fan of the water and completely fearless. She had me a little worried so I decided to put on my swimsuit too just in case I would have to go in after her.

By the time I came back Tessa had a little scare (she was perfectly fine, but SHE thought she was drowning) so she decided to take a break from the water for a little bit.

This girl was IN LOVE with the puppies that the Claytons brought. She wanted to always hold them. Since she is two, she is still learning how to be gentle so I had to be close by to supervise and remind her that she needs to let them go if they don't want to be held.

Meanwhile the boys were still having a blast in the water. They were more brave this year and walked in past their waist! (Last year their knees were their limit.) I really do appreciate that they know their limits so I didn't have to stress about them constantly.

Watching the volleyball tournament.

After the preliminary rounds, Jason's team started to win all their games.

And the kids continued to play in the water.

They ended up playing the championship game.

And won! The underdogs that were put together at the last minute won the whole tournament! (Silly me for doubting Jason...)

Hanging out in the shade. It was SO hot!!

As soon as we got to the lake the boys immediately started begging to ride on the boat. After the tournament was over they were finally able to get the chance. (And we had to distract Tessa since there wasn't room on the boat for her.)

After a full day at the lake, we headed back to the Webre's house to hang out for a little while before starting home.

Grandpa gave all the grandkids a ride in the Razor. They loved it!

And for once in a really long time, we had all the Webre grandkids on one place at one time! (Except for Alden who was literally born the day before so he was recovering in the hospital.)
